The meadow

For Piiper73 who wanted another part. Sorry for the late update.

Hera poured coffee into four mugs and put the jug on the table again.
Kallus, Kanan, Zeb and herself took a cup each and sat back in their chairs.
Ezra and Sabine held their glasses of juice and eyed Kallus.
As the adults talked Sabine turned to Ezra.

"What'd you think of him?" She muttered from the corner of her mouth.

"It's too soon to tell. We'll need to get to know him more" Ezra replied quietly.

Sabine nodded in agreement.

"Now. Ezra, Sabine. We're going in to the woods soon. Could you please get your jumpers?" Kanan asked the siblings.

The two nodded and got down from their seats. Once they were up the stairs, Kallus faced Kanan and Hera.

"Them seem young. Do they go to school​?" He asked.

Kanan shook his head.

"We're going to home school them. We think it's best" Hera told him.

"Fair enough. Either of them been into the woods before?"

"Ezra has. The wolves found him before anything else could" Kanan replied.

"The wolves? You mean the pack you two raised?" Kallus inquired.

"Yup. Ezra was lucky they found him" Zeb said draining his coffee.

Ezra pulled on his hoodie and glanced round at Sabine.

"Do you think we'll see the wolves again?" He asked.

"I hope so. Who was your favourite wolf?" Sabine asked.

"Mira. I don't know why, but she seemed taken to me. I like her for many reasons" Ezra answered.

"Yeah. She's majestic for one" Sabine agreed.

"And she's the first wolf I met" Ezra nodded.

The two went down the stairs back into the lunge where the others were ready to go.

The Jarrus family walked on a trail Kanan had created with Zeb. It lead to a nice meadow where Sabine and Ezra could mess around with Zeb for a while.
Ezra smiled as he looked round at the wildlife. Birds sang and flew from tree to tree while butterflies glided in the air. Wild flowers grew on the sides of the pathway and trees blossomed.

"Wow. This place is amazing" Sabine sighed.

"It's been a while since I've been here. You've accomplished quite a bit Kanan" Kallus said.

"Thanks Kallus. But Zeb helped too."

Kanan put a hand on his son's shoulder with a smile.
His offspring returned the expression.
It wasn't long before they reached the meadow. Sunlight shone in beams across the rock dotted grass.

"Incredible" Ezra said.

"You guys go have fun" Hera smiled at the two Bridger siblings.

"Zeb. Keep an eye on them an make sure they don't do anything too reckless."

Zeb nodded and followed the excited kids.

Kanan, Kallus and Hera walked around the area. Talking about the different trees and plants in sight.
Ezra climbed on to a boulder that overlooked the meadow.

"I'm the king of the world!" He yelled.

Zeb rolled his eyes at his little brother with a smile.

"Hey Zeb, catch!" Ezra called jumping.

Zeb only just managed to catch Ezra before he hit the ground.

"Thanks. That was like a crazy trust excircise" Ezra said getting out of his arms.

He walked to where Sabine was sitting on a rock.

"You good Ez?" She asked as he approached.

"I'm fine...Woah!"

Ezra was suddenly tackled to the ground by a massive brown fur ball.
He looked up in fear only to see Mira looking down on him a with a gentle expression.

"Oh Mira. You scared me" Ezra said relaxing.

A pink tongue suddenly shot from the wolves mouth and Mira began licking Ezra's face.

"Ew! Mirahahaha!" Ezra laughed as his face was covered in slobber.

Zeb and Sabine watched with amusement as Ezra was pinned to the ground by the wolves paws and being licked to death.
The adults heard Ezra's laughter and looked over. They​ smiled at the sight.

"Okay Mira, you don't want to drown him" Kanan said as they went over.

Mira got off Ezra and affectionately rubbed her face against his.
Ezra scratched her chin and stood.

"What cha doing all the way out here on your own girl?" Ezra asked.

Mira looked over her shoulder where the rest of the pack came trotting from the woods.
Sabine watched cautiously as a grey wolf went over to her and looked at her curiosly​. Sabine petted it after a few seconds hesitation.

"What's this one called?" She asked.

"That one's called Ursa. She raised her own cub" Hera replied pointing to another grey wolf.

"His name's Tristen."

Blade went over to Kallus and walked found his knees, rubbing against his knees.

"Hey buddy" Kallus smiled stroking the wolves back.

"Kallus named Blade. The two have always had a good bond" Kanan explained to Ezra and Sabine who nodded.
Ezra sat on a rock where Mira jumped up behind him and lay down. Her head by his hips and tail lying on his legs.
Ezra petted the wolf who made grumbly purrs.

"Mira's never been so affectionate to anyone like that Ezra" Hera commented.

"You must have adapted a bond with her" Kallus suggested.

Ezra looked down at the wolf with a smile.

'Maybe' he thought.

Ezra and Sabine fell asleep at the meadow.
While the adults and Zeb took a last look around, the Bridger siblings cuddled up to their wolf friends and fell into slumber.
Kanan carried Ezra while Kallus took Sabine.
They walked their way back to the house after saying goodbye to the pack.
