Chapter 6

Amber's POV

Nothing is better than a little slumber party!

I was with my friends, Gabby, Kiley, Clay, Jack, Halla, Kena, Sara, and Maizy. Tonight should be fun!

We were all getting ready to go to this restaurant park thing.

They had good food and you could be outside at the same time!

My mom dropped us off. It was funny because we had to lap sit!

We got to Weblins, the restaurant place.

Third person POV omniscient

The group ate their food and were now sitting by a small fire pit roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.

"Guys let's go by the lake!" Amber said.

Everyone agreed and left the fire going thinking it would be safe because there was surrounding people.

But what they didn't notice is that Maizy knocked over the fire pit on accident.

The group sat around the lake goofing around.

"I have to pee! Be back later!" Gabby said as she got up and ran to the bathroom.

Minutes later Gabby has not returned.

"Hey, do you smell smoke?" Jack questioned.

Everyone sniffed around trying to find the sent of smoke that Jack had noticed.

"Damn, that's strong!" Halla said.

"HOLY SHIT GUYS LOOK!" Kena screamed as she looked at Weblins which has started to burn to flames.

"Guys Gabby in there!" Kiley said.

Amber's face has started to swell up in tears. Gabby is Amber's best friend, they have been for well over 10 years. She couldn't lose her, not yet.

"I have to go get her!"Amber said standing up.

"No! Amber it's not safe!" Clay said as he held her.

"I DONT GIVE A FUCK! THATS MY BEST FRIEND IN THERE! I CANT LET HER DIE IN THERE! I HAVE TO SAVE HER!" Amber screamed as she broke out of Clay's grasp.

Amber ran to the flaming building breaking a window as the door was erupted with flames of fire.

Sirens were in the distance as Amber took a step into the building.

Amber's POV

Blood dripped down my arm. I don't care. I need to find her. I need to find Gabby.

I saw bodies that looked lifeless through the thick black smoke.

I ran up the stairs which barely stood as they were being burned.

The restrooms were upstairs so Gabby must be here!

I ran into the girls bathroom and I looked around for a body.

Clay's POV

What am I doing here standing like and idiot?

My girlfriend is in there risking her life. So should I.

I ran to window Amber went through hearing my name being called by everyone.

Amber's POV

I saw a white jacket, which is now dirty, stick out through the black smoke.

It wasn't just a jacket.

It was Gabby's jacket.

There she laid. Not moving.

I ran to her in tears.

"GABBY! COME ON WE HAVE TO LEAVE! COME ON WAKE UP!" I screamed while shaking her.

The happiest moment in my life came as Gabby started coughing.

"Come one lets go!" I helped her up. we stated walking.

The floors were shaking.

Oh shit, we have to hurry.

Just as we got to the stairs I saw someone running.

Clay.

"Come on! Let's go!" He shouted.

Right then and there the entire second floor collapsed.

This is it. This is the end.

At least Kiley, Jack, Kena, Halla, and Maizy are still alive.

I love them all.

Third person POV omniscient

What Amber didn't know was one by one the rest of the group ran in to look for their friends who were inside longer they should be.

They were on the first floor as the second floor collapsed on them with fierce, hot flames coming at them.
