Chapter 13

Amber's POV

Midgets are punching each other. Throwing each other over their head. What's more fun?

I looked around to find everyone enjoying it but Kiley was talking to this random girl. I've never seen her but she looks our age.

Maybe she's new.

As we all exited the arena we saw a bunch of midgets screaming and running around with blood on them. It's kinda disturbing, and that's coming from me.

"Hey Ki who was that girl you were talking to?" I asked Kiley.

"Oh that was Sara she's new here in town." She said.

A new girl. So I was right.

"WATCH OUT!" I screamed and pulled Gabby by the hood of her jacket. She just almost got killed by a car!

"Gabby you could of died!" I screamed, "You need to watch out."

"I didn't see it coming. Thanks by the way. I could have died." She said and gave me a hug.

Her voice was shaky.

"Are you ok? Did that scare you?" It probably did scare her to death.

"Yes and the car ran over my foot." She said and then laughed. Talk about mixed emotions.

It's ok though it's probably shark week for her. If you know what I'm saying.

Everyone asked her if she was ok. Like I did and she responded the same.

Kiley's POV

Seeing what almost happened to Gabby brought back memories. Bad ones.

My dad was a hit and run victim. Someone hit him with a car and just left him there to die.

I try not to think about it. My dad wasn't the best dad but still, he was my dad.

"Kiley are you alright?" Jack asked me. He must have noticed my sided change in mood.

"Yeah, I was just scared about what almost happened to Gabby." I lied.

I don't like telling people what happened they always feel bad or guilty.

"It's ok. She's ok." Jack said and put his arm around my shoulders, being the comforting boyfriend he is.

Maybe I'll text Sara later. We exchanged numbers earlier. Odd thought. She seems really nice.

We arrived at Jack and Clay's house. All our parents were out at the bar, go figure.

"We should play Truth or Dare." Jack said.

I remember the last time we played that game A.K.A best night ever!

"I wish we hade more people." Clay said.

"HOW ABOUT WE HAVE KENA, HALLA, AND KILEY'S FRIEND SARA COME OVER!" Amber said getting excited. I think it's an actual disease.

Amber's POV

"Ok." Clay and Jack both said since it was their house.

"Kiley can you invite them? I wanna make waffles." Kiley nodded and pulled out her phone.

I ran to the kitchen. I'm craving some chocolate chip waffles.

I opened the freezing. No chocolate chip waffles.
