Chapter 25

Amber's POV

"I can't get the thingy in!" Gabby complained.

"Push harder!" I replied.

"I am! Now it's starting to hurt!"

"Well you either aren't pushing hard enough or you are just that weak!" Me and Gabby were attempting to put tents up and build a tent city for the sleepover tonight.

Gabby couldn't push a pole all the way through.

"Got it!" She said with excitement in her voice.

Now it's time to connect the tents together.

We had 18 tents with the help of donations from our friends.

18 tents is a lot but it will be so much fun!

After about an hour of zipping and frustration we finally got our tent city together.

"This shit looks awesome!" Gabby said.

"True dat! Lets get the fire started and then get the food." Gabby nodded and she went to get wood, while I went to go get gas.

Gabby put the logs against each other making a little hut.

"I'll get some newspaper." Gabby said and ran to the house.

"Watch out for the string!" I said but it was too late.

Gabby tripped over a sting supporting one of the tents and face planted.

"Gabby are you ok?" I yelled as I ran towards her, dodging all the strings.

"Grass doesn't taste as good as it looks." Gabby said getting up and brushing off her now mud stained pants.

We both looked at each other and died of laughter.

"I'm going to get newspaper and I won't fall this time! I promise!"

Gabby sadly broke that promise.

Sara's POV

"These marshmallows are amazing!" Kiley shoved more marshmallows in her mouth.

I received a text from Colin, we kinda text a lot.

C: come over I have to show you something!

S: I'm at a bonfire at Amber's. sorry cant!

C: just for 5 mins!

S: I'll come up with an excuse.

C: that's my girl!

"Hey guys. I have to take a major, major crap. It may take awhile." I said, hopefully they don't get grossed out.

Who am I kidding?

"Just don't forget to flush, or I will take a picture and post it on Instagram!" Amber threatened.

I walked through the sliding glass door in the back yard and out the front door.

I hurtled across the street to Colin's house.

He awaited in his garage which he prefers to call it his Man Cave.

"Oh your here!" He noticed me.

Damn, I wanted to scare him.

"Follow me." He said and got up and walked away.

I followed him to his back yard.

I took in the beautiful scenery.

Lights in the trees.

Beautiful red rose petals sprinkled everywhere.

Then the cutest little picnic was set up.

I just wanted to collapse and cry.

"Do you like it?" Colin asked.

"Colin I love it! It's beautiful!" I said. I couldn't help but look back and forth with my mouth wide opened.

I can't believe he set all this up!

"Good because there's this girl," Those words shattered my heart.

"I just wanted a girls opinion because you know, I didn't want her to hate it." I was in a horrible shock. I just wanted to die.

He likes someone else.

I just nodded at him to make it look like I'm fine, but I'm pretty fucking far from fine.

"It's a good thing I know she likes it." I gave Colin a confused looked.

"You just told me you loved it." I'm still utterly confused.

"I'm still confused." The words barely left my mouth.

"Sara this was all for you, you're the girl I liked."

I was in shock.

My emotions are swirling around my mind.

I didn't know what to say.

I didn't know what to do.

Colin took his hand into mine.

"Come sit." we walked to the blanket that sprawled across the lawn.

He pulled over a wooden basket and opened it up.

"I know your a vegetarian, so I made salad." I can't believe he remembered!

"You remembered!"

"How could I not?" Colin is really nice!

I dug into my yummy salad.

I love salad!

Me and Colin ate while making small talk.

"So what's the real reason why you brought me here?" I asked him.

Colin's face turned bright red, like the tomatoes in my salad.

"Well I was wondering if you minded if I did this."

I'm wondering what he's talking about.

My think got cut off my warmth against my face and pressure on my lips.

Simply a kiss.

It was the best kiss, I kissed back.

I'm living a dream come true.

A couple kisses later I have a date for tomorrow night.

I have never been happier!

I walked back and noticed everyone in the tents.

I unzipped the main tent.

"Did you have a nice shit? You are smiling like a crazy bitch." Amber said.

Of course she notices.

"The best shit I ever had!" I still held a wild smile.

It truly was.
