Only a few weeks into school and I really want to just go to sleep, drowned in my textbooks, and never wake up. Every single professor here must think that either a)we dont have a life or b) no other teacher gives us homework.
Literally, like every one hour you spend in class is doubled outside of class. Who makes up these ideas? They are seriously crazy. The only 'fun thing' I'm doing this week is going to a convention with my class mates to go and interview some kids at a school. Our goal is to listen to them and find out the real problem. Since, after all, that's what psychologists do.
I am honestly kind of excited for it. Carly plans on coming too, since we're majoring in the same thing. She typed away furiously behind me with ear buds in, humming to a song by Miley Cyrus.
"Carly," I said, trying to get her attention.
No answer.
"Carly," I yelled, a little louder, but still got nothing.
I took a stuffed animal lying on my bed and threw it at her, successfully hitting her shoulder. She turned to look at me with a sort-of 'what do you want' look.
"How much more do you have?" I asked.
"About a paragraph, why?" She asked.
"I'm bored." I stated, getting up out of my seat.
"Well we can go down to the beach when I'm done," she said, "Call Maggie and Lucas and ask if they want to come along."
I nodded and picked up my phone, scrolling through the contacts. I called them both quickly and once they said they'd be here in roughly 30 minutes, I hung up and went into the bathroom to change. I decided to wear my pink, leopard bikini with a loose Shawn over top. I threw my hair back into a messy, french braid, bun.
Once I stepped out of the bathroom, Carly was putting her hair up as well. She had gotten ready while I did too. We both grabbed a beach towel and headed out. One of the best things about going to Bonneville University is all the dorms have beach front access. The only sad part is when winter hits and everything turns cold and frozen.
We laid our beach towels down in the sand and I used my flips flops to keep the towel from blowing away.
"When did Maggie and Lucas say they'd be here?" Carly asked, putting sun tan lotion on.
I looked across the beach and into the parking lot. "I think that's them who just pulled in."
She looked back to the silver car which Maggie and Lucas were both getting out of. When they got to the beach, Carly and I both waved them over. I smiled up to them and Lucas suddenly looked sad.
"I just now realized I be the only guy here," he said.
Maggie laughed and stuck her tongue out at him, "Ha, sucks to be you doesn't it."
He gave her a playful glare and sat her bag down for her beside her towel.
"Go make some friends," Carly said, bluntly.
I nodded and laughed, "Yeah, loner."
He looked around and saw some guys about 4-5 meters away playing beach volleyball. He looked at Maggie who then just nodded as if giving him permission to go over there. I just layed back down onto my towel and let the sun soak up my skin.

After about and hour of sitting there in the sun, my stomach growled rather loudly. Carly snorted from beside me and mumbled, "Someone sounds a little hungry."
I laughed and sat up, lifting my sunglasses to the top of my head. "Yeah, do you guys want anything? I'm going to go see what I can find."
"Will you get me a water?" Maggie asked, pulling a dollar bill out from her pocket.
