Just when I thought we could be friends, Andrew had to ruin it. Everyday now in gym he would try to make me miserable in every way possible.
I held a cold icepack over my bruised elbow. I could barely move it. The nurse tried to make me move it to 'lessen the pain' but it only hurt worse.
"Would you like to get an X-ray?" She asked.
I shook my head, "No, not really."
She sighed and just gave me a note to give to my professors. I took it and left like my life depended on it. Hospitals were just not my scene.
I met Carly outside and she looked down at my elbow lying in the blue arm sling. She sucked in a sharp breath and looked at my swollen, purple, elbow.
"Oh my God, Sophia," she said, "That looks terrible."
I nodded my head and sighed, "Yeah, I guess this is what I get for being a creepy stalker."
She laughed and we both made our way down to an old ice cream shop, Jingles.
"You know," I said, "It's starting to get cold already and its only September."
"I know," Carly said, frowning. "I love summer, I'm going to miss the warm beach."
I agreed and we both entered the shop. I ordered the birthday flavored frozen yogurt. The guy behind the counter handed me my cone and I gave him my money in exchange. We took a seat near the windows and ate in a comfortable silence until two really loud obnoxious people came in.
I turned my head to see who it was and rolled my eyes at the sight. "I swear, they're the ones following us now." I muttered.
It was meant for only Carly to hear, but Andrew turned around and waved to me, "What's goin' on, stalker?"
I smiled at him icily and then turned to Carly again. "Lets just get out of here."
We started to get our things together, me going rather slow with only one arm, but were interupted as they blocked our way out. I tried to manouver around him but he just slid in unison with me. "Stop being immature and let us leave, please?"
"Why so eager? I thought you wanted to find out everything about me," Drake said, raising one eyebrow.
"Yeah, that was until I realized how big of an ass hole you are," I said bluntly.
He didnt even look hurt. Almost as if he was expecting that responce. "Im really not, though. Your attitude just makes me want to.. I dont know, run you over with a truck a few times."
"But you cant," I said, "Thats called murder which is a serious crime and last time I checked you were a cop."
He smiled and I almost melted right there, which speaking of, I felt a smooth sticky liquid going down my fingers and realized my frozen yogurt had melted. I put my hand under the cone and looked at Carly, "A little help here!"
She stumbled back a little and took a few napkins from the table, giving them to me. I wiped my hands off and threw the cone into the trash. "Thanks, dude. You made me waste a perfectly good frozen yogurt while there are kids in other countries starving to death."
His face didnt change a bit and he just shrugged, looking down to the floor. While he wasnt looking, I got the chance to walk around him and Carly followed me. As the door clicked shut behind us, it opened again and they stepped out with us.
"Now who's the stalker?" Carly asked, glancing back at them.
Drake stood to my left and Andrew walked by Carly. I didnt turn to look at either of them and just pretended they werent there. "So, did you finish the essay?" I asked.
