It's been a while after the accident, and Melanie was allready in vocational school. She allready remembers almost everything, but there's still only one thing she still can't remember. She still doesn't remember how to controll her dreams. Nick has only said that she needs to remember, but that's all. She needs to remember what? She doesn't know. She once again saw one of those weird dreams, and on the way to school, she thought about it. She thought about nothing else. As she was walking to the school, she was suddenly snaped back to reality from deep from her thoughts, as she bumped on someone.
-Oh, sorry! She said alittle embarrased. Then it hit her. The man she bumped to looked familiar.
-It's fine, are you okay? The man asked.
-Yeah, I'm fine. You? Melanie asked.
-Yeah, I'm ok. The man replied.
-Well then, I'll just keep going then. Have a nice day! The man said and gave her a friendly smile.
-Wait. Have we met before? Melanie asked and gave the man a suspicious look.
-I don't think so. The man replied. He knew he should tell her the truth that they had met before, but somehow, he just couldn't.
-Oh. You just looked somehow familiar. Melanie muttered.
-Well then, have a nice day. Melanie said and started to walk away.

-Wait. Nick said. Melanie turned around to look at him.
-It's me. Nick. He finaly said.
-What? Melanie asked with shocked tone.
-Am I dreaming or something? She asked. She was more confused than ever.
-No, you're not. You see, I don't only exist in your dreams, Melanie. I was hired to protect you in your dreams. Nick explained.
-What do you mean? Melanie asked.
-You see, you're not ordinary girl. You're the only person who's capable of controlling your own dreams, but also, you can die in real life, if you die in a dream. That's why I'm there to protect you. Nick said.
-But if I can controll my dreams, then why don't I know how? Melanie asked.
-Remember that car accident? As you lost your memory, you also forgot how to controll your dreams. Nick explained calmly. Melanie was speachless. She had no idea how should she feel. She was very confused.
-I... I have to go. Melanie said, and ran off. Nick didn't even bother to go after her. He knew he should give her some time to think about it.

Later as Melanie went to sleep, she just couldn't. She thought about what happened earlier. Was it true? She thought about what Nick had said over and over again, untill she finaly fell asleep. She found her self from the yard of her former school. There was snowplows, and they were coming torwards her. She had no choise but try to get indoors. For her luck, she got in. She once again had to be scared. She was sick of it. She just ran crying to a corner and sat down.
-Melanie? A voice said. She looked up and saw Nick.
-Can you just leave me alone? Or just send me back to real world? She asked as she looked away.
-Melanie, I want to help you. I want to help you to remember how to controll your dreams. That's the only way you can win the nightmare. Nick said.
-Nightmare? Melanie asked.
-It's the creature giving you these dreams. He wants you dead. Nick said.
-Why? Because I can controll my dreams? Melanie asked.
-Yes. If you die, the nightmare wins and, if he wins, he's the one controlling everyone's dreams, and you've been the onlyone to keep it in controll. Nick replied.
-You mean, I'm basically the one who makes sure people are having a good dreams? Melanie asked and gave Nick a confused look.
-Yes, but since you haven't been able to do it for a while, people are having nightmares more often. Nick replied.
-Oh no... Melanie muttered.
-You need to help me to remember again. Melanie said. Nick gave her a nod.
-But first it's time to wake up. Nick said.
-But... Melanie started but Nick cut her.
-No but Young lady. Nick said, and with a snap of fingers, Melanie woke up. She only sighed.
-I need to remember... She thought by her self.
