I left the bed, knowing no sleep would come to me until it was time to meet my bed again.
The wood creaked beneath my feet as I found my way into the hall.
Sunlight began to peak through the windows, meaning it was maybe around six. And I should probably begin preparing to leave.
Today was my first day of work at Dade County Library.
Most people look at becoming a librarian as a boring job choice, and maybe it was.
But to be surround by unlimited books, and also silence, it didnt seem so boring to me.
After stripping myself of all clothing, I hopped in the shower, brushing my teeth afterwards.
Before I left, my mom was up. She wished me good luck before I was on my way.
Like any other day, it was hot as hell in Miami.
Thats why my mom chose to live in a house on the beach, where the coast line was literally my back yard.
My house wasn't too far from the library. It was just a bus ride away.
I made it just in time at my stop as my bus arrived.
Now it was 7:23, and I had to clock in in twenty minutes.
The bus was full for a Saturday. This would usually be the day where everyone wanted to sleep in, and start their task later into the evening.
But with the crowd of morning workers and teens trying to get to the mall while it was hardly crowded, maybe it was new custom to take advantage of this day.
I held onto a pole, not seeing any near seats, and my anxiety wouldnt allow for me to search for any, only to not find one and end up back here anyway.
"Excuse me Sweety, youre on my quilt." I heard an elder woman from a distance. I looked over my shoulder, indeed seeing the old woman just behind me.
I then looked under my foot, and I was in fact keeping the lady's craft work hostage under the heel of my tennis shoe.
I sheepishly smiled, releasing my her quilt. "So-"
