🍸 BitterSweet and Strange 🍸
I was gone for four days. Resolved kaagad ang problema sa Spain. It's great to have an honest worker whom you could trust everything. The problem was regarding the business permit which caused the Ministry of Labor and Industry operations a little misunderstanding.
It was a little complicated but I got it resolved.
Even though I was born and been there since I was ten, my soul still long for Philippines. Ewan ko ba. I think there's really no place like home. This is my home, though I live alone.
So, here I am. Back on my daily routine. Know what? I slept for only three hours and then I'm back to work again. I'm used to being this productive. It seems that I'm immune to working and working and working. A lot of people would say that I don't need to work because I already earned too much, and I won't be able to bring that wealth when I die. Well, that's not how I think. First, 70% of my profit would always go to charities, 20% to other investments, and 10% to myself. Even so, they could be right that I don't have to work. However, I want to be productive, and live my life doing something worthy. Hindi ko gusto ang maging tambay lang. Pakiramdam ko patay ako kapag ganon.
"Chef! Welcome back!"
"Thanks." I smiled while checking what she was doing.
"We have a birthday event today, Chef. Debut." Paliwanag niya.
Kaya naman pala. Uso ba talaga ang nagtataasang cake kapag debut? Or wedding? I don't think this is still nice.
"How's the resto while I was away?"
For four days, we're fully booked with big events. Nakakatuwa kahit nakakapagod." Kwento pa niya.
"Good." I beamed. I know that, of course. "...alright then. I'll just go to my office."
Here I go again. I sit down and start to get engage with the paper works.
Since my office was soundproof, I can't hear any noise from every gathering outside. I was peacefully reviewing the papers when loud thuds on the door startled me. Pupusta ako, si Jeia na naman 'yan.
It opened.
There she was, my lovely yet super annoying sister. "Vash!" She screamed.
She was very fast to give me a hug before I could evade it.
"How's your tour?"
"It wasn't a tour. It was a business trip, Jeia." Depensa ko.
"Well, for me those two are just the same." Kibit-balikat nito bago naupo sa single set couch.
"What brought you here, by the way? Wala ka bang dapat pagkaabalahan ngayon?" Taas-kilay kong tanong. The last time we saw each other, she said she'd be very busy. "...don't tell me, it's off again?"
