Chapter 12
I don't remember what happened last night but that doesn't matter now because walking into school today was absolute torture. Nobody dared come near me, just shot me looks of disgust from a far. Some of pity. But I only have one thing on my mind, and that was to find Joy and figure out what the friggle fraggle I did to her.
Ryder stayed home today because of his horrible hang over. 'lucky' for me, my hang overs aren't that bad. But even if they where completely horrible, i'd still come to school. To try and save Joy an I's friendship. I know your what your thinking...
what? why do you want to save anything that involves that bitch!?
Well, I'll tell you. Joy is the only girl friend of mine. The only friend that can go shopping with me or paint my nails and curl my hair. She stuck with me through Belle's death, and Austin and Nancy. She's like a sister to me, and we all know how much that title means to me. Ever since Belle died I could barley make it through a day. And Dallon always being depressed didn't help at all. But Joy was there for me. She cheered me up, and was the best friend a girl could ask for. I know she spread my secrets, but everyone was bound to find out someday. So I'll forgive Joy. I'll always forgive her. Because I need her.
Once I shove my bag into my locker, I walk into the library. No surprise, Joy is sitting at 'our' table. Her red hair is tied up in a messy bun, curls flying off in ever direction. Her head is resting on the black table top, and her arms are draped over the edges.
Is she dead?
I tip-toe over to her. As I'm pulling out the chair, her head shoots up. Her face is red and tear stained. Her eyes, deprived of all color and emotion.
What happened to her?
"Umm Joy?" I ask, sliding into the chair and grabbing her hands. "What's wrong?"
"S-she." Joy bursts into sobs and squeezes my hands. "She t-tricked me a-and made m-me write all about y-you and now the w-whole sch-sch-school knows!" she bangs her head on the table repeating 'stupid, stupid'.
"Joy stop!" I grab her head and lift it up so she's looking at me. "I forgive you. "
"Why!? after what I did to you! I shared all your secrets and now everyone and their mom knows! The whole damn town probably knows!" She shook out of my grasp and ran toward the library doors.
"Wait!" I shouted running after her. She was my only friend beside Ryder, and I needed her. No matter what she does I'll always forgive her. Because I love this girl so much. Even if I hate her, ill always love her.
I reach out for her arm, and pull her back into a hug. "I don't care anymore Joy." I release the hug and turn her around so she's facing me. "The past is the past. Forgive and forget right?now I need my best friend back."
"Dammit Blake." Joy smiled and engulfed me into a bear hug. As the air was restricted from my lungs, and my eyes where about to pop out of my head; Joy released me. "Wanna go to Starbucks?"
"I think you should clean your face up, and I should probably stay here and... 'learn'." I said while laughing.
"What's wrong with my face?" Joy rested her manicured hands on her hips and glared at me.
"You look like a clown." I leaned onto the wall for support, laughing like a maniac.
"Oh... erm..." She covered her face with her hands. "Oh my god this is so embarrassing!"
Her freaking out made me laugh harder.
"Can we just pretend... like non of this ever happened? knowing that Nancy tricked me into betraying you sickens me." she shook her head and sighed "my best goddamn friend....my only friend and I betray you... what the f*ck is wrong with me?"
