Differently Powerful

Chapter 2

I am alive. I am alive. I. am. Alive. I couldnt get any happier. I wasnt dead. Yes this is me thinking after safely landing. Really you cant blame me for watching those movies in which the plane crashes. Before this I had only seen movies and videos about all these aircrafts in which most of the time the plane crashed.

"You seem to be amazingly happy Avy. Whats the event?" Alicia asked amusingly. Yeah well, she is definetly going to find me amusing.

"We safely landed Alicia. I actually had thought I would die. No kidding"

"I see Miss Dramatic. We are going to have an amazing time together. I am sure Avy." Alicia said.

"We will." I smiled "But be ready for a gazzalion questions." She was a very nice person. I am very lucky to have her as my foster mom. We had talked a lot during the flight. I guess she was just distracting me from hyperventilating. As far as she had told me she lived alone. She didnt tell me about her house. She said she wanted to surprise me. Well then do surprise me.

She had left her car on the airport before she came to my ex-town. It is going to be a five hour drive to our destination. I was kind of excited. Never had I ever travelled so much. Even though seeing all these Aura's had got my head spinning, I was managing it fine. Right now Alicia was happy. The green color around her was just so vibrent.

"You seem to be happy." I noted as we sat in the car ready for the long ride.

"Well, what can I say. I feel complete." She smiled.

Well somehow I felt the same I guess she could see it too. I just felt so free. Well ofcourse. Who wouldnt feel free after being caged for seventeen years? Nobody. Slowly and deeply I went into a silent sleep of contentment.

Strong sunlight brushed on my face. A different smell lingered in the air. I could hear birds. Must be seaguls. All this made my eyes open. I saw the best scene. A scene I had never seen. Well ofcourse. There was a vast ocean on the left. Oh and the sun! I just felt like going and swimm-

"I see you are up sunshine! Its time you got up. This scene is to die for." Alicia said inturupting my internal babble.

"Let me just engrave this smell. Oh so nice. I am love with the ocean Alicia. I am in love." I said dramaticly. I wish I could see the ocean everyday.

"Well then I am sure you will love your new house, Miss Dramatic."

"Is that my name now? 'Miss Dramatic'? Its a bit formal, dont you think so?"

She just looked at me and put out her tounge like a little kid. But I was getting impatient I want to see the new town. Explore it.

"How much time to reach?" I asked

"We are almost there. Around fifteen minutes more!" Its just amazing that after driving so much she is still so cheerful.

Suddenly we saw a car pull up beside the car ahead of us. The man is the car was pulled out brutally. They covered his head with a metal helmet and tied his hands, put him in the car and drove away. Me and Alicia looked at this scene in horror. I can bet this wasnt normal.

"What in the world was that? Why did they take that man like that? Is he a criminal?" I asked.

"I guess you dont know about this. There are uh.. people. Who are different. Different from us. They are not criminals. They are born with there uniqeness in them. But they cant exist within our society. So they are taken away like that to an unknown place. And that is what we saw. That man is not one of us." Alicia explained. This was just so new to me. I had never read about this nor had I ever seen this on TV.
