Cora:
I woke up what felt like years later, my whole body swaying back and forth. I head a migraine, and my legs ached and stung like hell. I slowly opened my eyes to see someone that I was sure I'd never seen before. He white-blonde hair and elfish features, along with slightly big ears and piercing blue eyes that bore right into my soul. They were the meanest eyes that I had ever seen in my life, and they showed more hatred than I had ever witnessed in all of my 15 years of life. While his voice had expressed joy, or maybe laughter when he scared me (assuming that it was him that it was him that had spoken to me earlier), his eyes were polar opposites from his voice. Somehow, even with the strange combination of his features, he was the best looking person I had and have ever seen to this day. The sight of his eyes, though, made me gasp, as they made him seen impossibly mean.
He looked down at me as soon as I opened my mouth, shocked that I had been able to open my mouth, let alone make a sound. His eyes, for a millisecond, showed brief concern, and then went back to their original hating selves. He chuckled for a few moments, before finally speaking again. "You okay, doll?" he asked. Without a doubt, this was the boy who had freaked me out.
"Yeah. I'm OK." I thought for a moment before asking the question that had been on my mind. "Why did you scare me like that?"
He looked surprised for a moment before answering. "I didn't mean to, man." He started laughing his gruff yet sweet laugh that I instantly loved. It was quite short, and came in brief bursts. I shook my head. Stop thinking that, I told myself. You don't even know him! Don't get yourself into trouble again!
He then looked back up, swept the emotions off his face, and continued walking in silence. I thought that he was amazing, the way that he could rid off all of his feelings in mere seconds, be so bare but so full at the same time. I could see now, though, that he was trying to contain something that he was feeling, because he eyes were bulging, and his cheekbones stood out WAY more than usual.
I continued staring at him until he noticed, glancing down at me, blushing the tiniest bit possible. If one was just two feet away from him, one wouldn't have been able to tell. However, I was so close that I could kiss him, so I thought that it was really interesting. His bulging cheekbones and eyes remained the same.
"Are you OK?" I asked. Again, he seemed surprised for a mere second before averting back to before, with his bulging features still that same way. Somehow, these extra-defined features made him even more handsome.
"Yeah," he said gruffly. He then smirked. "I still don't know your name," he said
"I'm Cora," I replied.
"Dallas Winston," he says. He then looks away from my eyes again, staring at the path in front of us. "So, where d'you want me to take you?"
"Where were you planning on going when you found me?"
"Actually, I was going to the same tree that you were in, until you crashed it," he snapped.
"OK, OK, no need to be a jerk about it. What, you think I stalk you every day just to find your secret hideout, then crash it when I know your on your way? Do you know how STUPID that sounds?" He looked slightly embarrassed, but this time, he didn't wipe this emotion away. "Where else do you go?"
He then looked down at me, studying my features very carefully. "Do you want to meet Buck?"
