I slung my bag over my shoulder as we walked out of the house. He and I strolled next to each other down the street. I wasn't going to start the conversation.

"Why you bein' so quiet?" He finally broke the silence.

"Hm?"-I looked up from the ground.

"You bein' quiet. I know you feelin' ya boy" He smiled. He had a cute smile.

"What?"-

"I see the way you be lookin' at me, You can't hide it"-

"What are you talkin' about?"-

"Oh, So now you gon' front? This what we doin' now?"-I laughed lightly.

"Boy bye"-

" 'Aight"He turned around and started to walk away.

"Nooo!" I caught him. He was cheesing hard.

"What?"-

"I don't wanna walk alone"-

"You sayin' you want me t'walk wit' you?"-

"I don't know what's out here?"-

"So? What's'at gotta do wit' me?"-

"I'll be safe with you"I felt awkward. "I mean, Monet trusts you, So I trust you"I added.

"You ain't wrong"He sighed. He almost seemed almost disappointed.

We went a few minutes without talking.

"Jaila"He spoke. I looked over at him.
"We here" He informed.

I looked up, Realizing we had arrived.

"Thank you" I said politely. I started to walk away, But a light touch stopped me. I turned to see him smiling.

"I know, You'on really know me like'at, But, You need a way t'contact me. Jus' in case you need somethin' " He said. Long story short, We switched numbers.

I entered the house, Realizing my Mom was here. She's always at work during the evening.

My Mom and Justin sat in the living room as I entered.

"Hey"I greeted them smiling.

"Hey baby"My Mom spoke up first.

"Ma, What's goin' on, I thought you work tonight?"-

"I was suppose to, But I wanted to give you the good news...The insurance went through. We can move in tomorrow" She smiled.

"That's great!"-I was fearful that we might move away from Monet.

"I'm taking off work tomorrow so we can move. Get some sleep okay?" She smiled. I nodded yes.

I got my stuff together and laid on the couch.

-

"Psst" A voice whispered.

I glanced over to see Natalya. I'd evaded her since the party. I was busy with the family.

"Hey" She smiled. "So I heard you're moving tomorrow. Let's go out to celebrate"She spoke.

"Really?"-I was surprised she'd even asked.

"No, This time it'll be cool. I know I've made a bad impression of myself. I wanna make it up to you."-

"No"-

"C'mon, After tomorrow, You probably won't see me anymore. It's the last time I'll have a chance to show you..."-

At the moment, I felt a tinge of guilt. Because I hadn't exactly given her the benefit of the doubt. She's been by herself, So she hasn't had to worry about anybody else. I don't know exactly what came over me.

I sat up, Signaling my decision. She smiled.
