It had been a few years, that Leon and Emil had gotten together. And it took some time but Emil eventually made up with his family and they had visited a few times but kept it mutual, Leon and Emil's relationship had gotten...closer and quite a bit more comfortable, they told each other everything and had done a few private things but kept it rare. It was late one night when Emil was waiting for Leon to pick him up at home, he had been at work all day and texted Emil in the afternoon asking if he wanted to go on a date that night and of course he agreed quickly. But now he was waiting outside the house pouting as it started raining lightly and of course, Leon was late. Emil sighed stuffing his hands in his pockets and closing his eyes temporarily shaking his head
'Of course he's late, what else were you expecting'
He thought and opened his eyes rolling them at the car that had rolled up as if on cue, the window rolled down and Leon smiled lightly at him.
"Like hey babe sorry I'm late, again, but I'm here now so let's go"
He said and reached over opening the car door and watching Emil as he got in and closed he door.
"Where are we going?"
He asked and tilted his head slightly.
"That's like a surprise so just be patient"
Leon responded and winked as he drove off after Emil closed the door and put his seatbelt on. The couple drove in a comfortable silence for a while before parking outside of a restaurant with the name of isola

and Emil gasped.
"Leon this is way to expensive we can't go here"
He said and looked over at Leon wide eyed and mouth ajar.
"Hey it's like fine I've been saving up so let's just go"
He said winking again and getting out of the car walking over to Emil's side and opening the door for him closing it behind him and taking his hand as they walked up to the doors and headed inside.
Turns out Leon made some reservations and they had a lovely table near the back, the food was amazing and Emil still had no clue why Leon did something so fancy for just a random date night, or until he heard a waiter tap their spoon on their cup three times and all talking stopped, everyone looked over to them as Leon stood up and walked over to the other side of the table to Emil and dropped down to one knee, the lights dimmed and the music quieted down, the glow of the sunset coloured the room a pink and orange hue making the mood a bit more romantic, Leon gave him a small smile as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a black/velvet box and opened the lid revealing a beautiful diamond and silver ring , Emil covered his mouth and sat there shocked looking at Leon as he cleared his throat and squared his shoulders.
"Emil steilsson, you are the best thing to even come into my life, your smart and kind and not to mention actually the best thing in this world. I am so glad I got your number from Mathias that day in high school, you are my definition of perfect and that will never change, over the years I have loved you more and more and I couldn't take it anymore knowing you weren't truly mine. So will you give me the honour and become mine and I will forever be yours, it would make my life complete and your love is all I will ever need."
Leon said clearly making Emil's heart beat faster and tears started pricking the corners of my eyes
"L-Leon oh my god yes of course!"
He said laughing and jumping off his chair hugging Leon tightly then leaned back and watched as he slipped the ring onto Emil's finger, Leon looked up and gave a gentle smile
"I love you so much"
He said quietly
"I love you to Leon"
Emil said and leaned forwards pressing his lips onto his lovers and wrapping his arms around his neck tightly, the entire restaurant burst out into a loud eruption of applause and cheers of joy as the two lovers embraced not ever wanting to let go.
