"So..." I said to Landon. We were sitting in the car, on our way to school. "How's the relationship goin'?" I waggled my eyebrows, giving him my best girly-girl face.

His cheeks couldn't help but flush. This was a totally new Landon. He never acted like this before. Ever. I had to admit I liked the new Landon, though. He was jollier and I think I noticed his grades getting better. The boy went from straight D's to straight C's. It wasn't much of an improvement but hey, I was proud of the child. Brianne must've really whipped him into shape within the last few days.

"What do you mean 'how's the relationship goin'? You talk to her everyday, don't you?" He finally said, clearly trying to hide his blushing.

"Aw," I reached over and pinched his pink cheek. "Little Landon's blushing because of Little Brianne! How 'co-o-o-te'."

"Stephanie..." He glowered.

"Speaking of Brianne, shouldn't you be taking her to school since you guys are,"-- I nudged his side-- "dating now?"

"Brianne is sick" He replied, simply. Instead of asking about my best friend's health, I continued to torture him some more and gaped dramatically. "Landon, you bad, bad, dirty boy." Again with being dramatic, I gasped. "You gave her Mono didn't you? Or an STD?!" Laughter was beginning to scratch up my throat but I forced it back down. I tried my hardest keeping this madman, crazed look on my face.

Landon gaped back, blushing more trying to deny my false pun. Goodness, I never knew Landon had a blushing problem like me. I added that to my mental note, something I can ridicule to him later.

"What?!" He shook his head persistently looking like a maniac on cocaine. "No, I don't have Mono and she can't have Mono! What in the world are you talking about?!" Just him talking made me roll around in my passenger's seat. Playing around with Landon would never get old. I loved the nervousness they both had around each other. Of course Brianne sort of always had that since she began gaining a crush on him.

"I'm only kidding," I attempted to shout over his continuous freaking out.

He let out a deep sigh and rolled his eyes. He was probably going to have PTSD after that.

He sighed deeply, looking straight toward the street ahead. "Enough about me-"

"Enough?" I interrupted. "But, I just got started."

He tightened his grip on the steering wheel. "Enough about me, how about you and Edwin?"

My excitement contained itself. "Oh, Edwin and I?" I began. "We're-we're... cool"

Landon beamed at me then frowned. "Cool?" He repeated. "This doesn't sound like my girl, what do you mean by 'cool'?"

"Well, it's sort of weird how you're making me realize he hasn't talked to me in a while." I murmured as the car came to a halt in the school's parking lot.

"What do you mean? You guys talk all the time."

Landon and I both emitted ourselves from the car and began walking toward the school entrance doors.

"I mean. . . Like, . . ." I couldn't even explain what I was trying to say. What was I trying to say? That Edwin didn't seem as attracted to me as before? No, that couldn't be it-- I knew that couldn't be it.

"Romantically?" He questioned. "He hasn't been talking to you 'romantically'?" He spoke a little slower and I wasn't sure the reason why-- I wasn't mentally slow. . .

"I-I don't know." I sighed, honestly. I thought back to yesterday and frowned. I had just remembered Edwin was in class yesterday and he didn't seem to want to talk to me even though I must've been pretty busy on the current major project we'd been working on. Since we both shared first class together, and when I looked up to give my wrist a break from writing so much, I glanced over to him and noticed that he seemed to be either texting on his phone or talking to one of the team mates on the football team. I guess I never really noticed till now.
