monday, june 6th
It was a sunny morning, perfect California weather.
Jacee searched through her messy locker, trying to find her math textbook.
"I know it's in here somewhere.." She thought before receiving a light tap on her shoulder.
She turned around and got a bit startled. "Devin?"
Devin smiled. "Hey!" He said quietly. "Can I ask you a question?"
Jacee nodded. "Um, yeah, sure go ahead!"
Devin nodded and looked around, making sure no one was in earshot. "Do you want to go to prom with me? If you don't it's okay-"
"Well, i don't really mind, so I guess I could." Jacee replied.
Devin smiled again. Jacee returned the gesture, grinning back.
There was a few seconds of silence before Devin broke it.
"Well, I'm gonna go now." Devin mumbled awkwardly.
"Um, well bye." Jacee said, smiling a bit.
Then, they went the opposite way.
