Jacee walked home from school that day. When she arrived, she walked in, and set her backpack down. Luckily, she didn't have any homework, so she sat on her porch and read a book while she was waiting for Ariel to arrive. About 10 or so minutes later Ariel pulled up in her Buick Riviera.

Ariel hopped out and said "Hey girl! You ready to go shopping?!" "Absolutely!" Jacee shouted with excitement. "Alright hop in then!" Jacee got into the car and buckled up. While Ariel was plugging her key into the ignition, Jacee asked a question. "Have you gotten asked to prom yet by anyone?" She asked. "Uh, no, I haven't." Ariel replied, backing out of the driveway.
"That's a shame." Jacee said. Ariel nodded in agreement.
*a few minutes later*
While Ariel and Jacee were on the highway, they passed a familiar Impala next to them. "Hey, Ryan!" Jacee called, seeing that the boy in the car was no other than their good friend Ryan. "Hey, Jacee!" Ryan replied, trying not to drive his car off of the highway. "Are you planning on asking anyone to prom, Ry?" Jacee asked, nudging Ariel with her elbow a bit. "Uh, yeah, I do actually." Ryan replied, causing Ariel to swerve a bit. "Well, who is it?" Jacee asked. She leaned over and whispered to Ariel. "You're definitely getting asked out today." Ariel chuckled. "Shut up.." she retorted.
Jacee turned back to face Ryan. "Well, who is it, Ross?" She asked. Ryan smiled a bit. "Brendon." He replied simply.
Ariel's eyes widened. Panicking, Jacee said, "that's nice! got to go! bye!" Ariel sped off, and once they were out of Ryan's view point, it was game over. "Aw, I'm sorry Ariel." Jacee cooed. Ariel shrugged. "Its whatever." She lied.
*at the mall*
"Do you like this dress?" Ariel asked, showing Jacee a black dress with lace at the top. Jacee stared in awe. "Oh my god, I love it!" Ariel smiled. "That's good! It's only $50, which is actually really good. I'm on a budget, y'know." Jacee grabbed the dress. "Thank you so much!" She exclaimed.
*at home*
Jacee tried on the dress and was in absolute love, and so was Ariel. "You look good!" Ariel said. Jacee thanked her. "Devin will definitely love it!" Ariel said. Jacee cheered. "Yay!"
