That afternoon at Devin's house
"Mom! I know what your thinking!" Devin yelled. "Yes, Kyleigh dumped me, and it broke my heart. I know that's the reason why you don't want me with other girls is because you don't want my heart broken again. But Jacee's different! I can... I can feel it."
"Honey, you have to tell that girl that you can't go to prom with her. I'm not letting you go out of the house this house on the day of prom. Not even to go to school." His mom said calmly.
"Ughh!!!!" Devin exclaimed at he stormed up the stairs to his room. Once he entered, he slammed the door shut. He glanced at the photo of his dad. "I miss him so much..." he said to himself. He fell onto his bed and cried.
