It's late. Like, hella late. Naruto actually wasn't even supposed to go home that night but Sakura's parents came home two days early and crashed her party- leaving him with the complete and utter dread of going home at two'o clock in the morning.

He didn't live far enough to text Deidara or Karin to pick him up but he also didn't live close enough to be there in less than five minutes.

So, there he was; cutting through a park to his families loft complex, treading through grass that was wetted by the early morning dew. He sighed, hoping that he didn't get grass stains on his new shoes, mom would be pissed.

His phone suddenly started to buzz against his thigh, the sound making him wince when it interrupted the empty silence of the large field he was in. He stopped, pulling it out and giving an exasperated sigh when he saw the picture of his bubblegum pink haired best friend on the screen.

He contemplated not answering in spite but quickly discarded the idea when he remembered how pissed the girl got when he didn't answer her calls.

"Hey, Sakura," He greeted monotonously, cerulean blue eyes flickered up for a second when he saw the copper flare of a street light go out for a moment before turning back on. He shook it off as nothing.

"Oh gods, Naruto, are you okay? Where are you? Do you need a ride?" She questioned worriedly causing Naruto's lips to tilt up. She could be so sweet, sometimes.

"Nah. I'm fine, Sakura. I'm walking through Myoboku park, I can see home from here," He answered easily, frowning when he saw the previously flickering copper light flicker one last time before cutting out completely. Sakura sighed in relief.

"That's good. Call me when you get there so I know you got home safely," She commanded, mom friend™ kicking in.

"Yeah... yeah, okay. How's the girls?" He asked, Sakura's parents kicked all the boys and most girls out but he knew that Hinata, Ino, and Tenten were allowed to stay. Sakura laughed, the sound making Naruto's cheeks warm.

"Hinata was crying and Ino and Tenten couldn't stop laughing," She responded amusedly, making Naruto let out a laugh of his own while simultaneously forgetting about the burnt out street light.

"Is Hinata okay? That makes the other two sounds like asses," He smiled, slightly concerned for the Hyūga girl but knowing that Sakura never let her out of her sight at parties; wasn't all that concerned.

"Yeah, you know how she gets when she drinks," And Naruto did; she'd take two shots and become extremely bold and out of character before passing out. But she would also get a little anxious if they were caught drinking underage so it wasn't surprising that she would cry when Sakura's parents came home early and dismantled their small party.

"Well... thanks for calling but I better get home soon, this park is giving me the creeps," He confessed, shivering when a cold summer night breeze brushed over him.

"Alright, Naruto. Please be safe, I heard that there's been a spike in violent attacks lately so watch out," Sakura fretted, the Uzumaki could practically hear her tuck strands of silky pink hair behind her earlobe.

"Sakuraaaaa, come to bed now!" Ino moaned in the background of the call, there was rustle before Sakura shooed her away with a giggle.

"I will, thanks Sakura. Take care of the girls. Goodnight," He assured her, hearing more high pitched pesters and rustling.

"Goodnight Naru-" She tried to say, the line cutting off with a high pitched squeal of an unrecognizable voice. He naturally assumed it was Ino. A warm feeling spread across Naruto's chest, it made him feel good that his friend cared enough about him to call and ask if he was alright.

The feeling was short lived when he watched all the copper street lights in the short distance flicker before all simultaneously burning out and leaving Naruto in an empty pitch black field.

He heard the grass rustle behind him and his anxiety spiked by ten-fold. He moved to run but only made it a few steps before slipping on the damp grass and collapsing on his back. He couldn't breath, the fall knocked the air right out of his lungs and he silently cursed himself for being so clumsy. That pain would soon be nothing.

He grimaced, trying to move to get up and leave the creepy ass field behind so he could go home and collapse in his warm sheets and sleep but the flat of a hand so cold that Naruto could feel it through his orange hoodie stopped him.

Horrified, Naruto moved his eyes up to get a glimpse of bright crimson before a sharp pain erupted in his neck causing him to jerk and let out a sharp gasp. His pair of cerulean blue eyes snapped shut as he shuttered in silent agony under the mans grasp, who was now straddling him with one hand on his chest and the other behind his neck.

Naruto could feel sharp nails creating crescents as they pressed into his skin as a warm drip of liquid slid down his neck and under his hoodie. He quickly realized that he was bleeding.

The nails pressed harder into his skin as the pain flared into an almost burning delirium. He heard a soft mewl at the bottom of his ear, the mouth separating from his skin and lapping up the dribbles of stray blood with the tip of tongue eagerly.

Their was deep whine before Naruto felt his neck being sharply pierced again in a different spot which made him groan; half from the pain and the other half from the previous pleasurable bite. Lips kissed the oozing puncture before fiercely sucking as if their thirst was insatiable.

Naruto opened his eyes, his fingers finding soft strands to lock them into and letting out an euphoric moan. He felt lost in this pleasure as it vibrated all over his body, seeping into his bones as his fingers tightened their hold on smooth locks of hair.

Naruto's eyes were slowly sliding shut from exhaustion, his tight grip on the other mans hair slowly slipping. Finally, the man pulled away from his neck.

"You... taste exquisite, like the finest of wines," He purred, his cold fingers now slowly stroking the back of Naruto's neck as his hand dropped onto the dewy grass.

Naruto's vision went completely and finally dark as his he heard a short intake of breath.
