magical rainy day

your eyes held a hurricane
a strong determined storm
i would look straight into them
and instantly feel torn

how you did it?
i honestly didn't know
how every glance you sent my way
felt like a tornado

those deep grey swirls
would send shivers down my spine
what i could not believe
was that you detested your own eyes

they were a perfect mixture
of violent and loud
and if you dared to look close enough
you'd see a hint of clouds

i hated when you'd say
they were just a dull grey
when they perfectly resembled
a magical rainy day
