It was the day of the wedding of Macey, Marcus' little sister. Mia had been spending some time with Macey and her fiancé. Mia had gotten to know them better. Macey had given Mia the job of choosing the song they will be having their first dance to.
Mia was anxious because she didn't want to ruin Macey's special day. Mia was wearing the purple dress Macey had brought her. Mia was looking in the mirror at how she looked. She was seeing how the dress clung to her curves. She smiled when she felt comfortable in the dress.
She put her shoes on and waited for Lexi. Mia was able to invite someone to go with her, so she chose her best friend. They left the apartment and went to the taxi to go to the wedding venue. The car journey was fun. They were singing along to the radio.
When they arrived, they saw everyone talking to each other outside the church. Mia and Lexi stayed away and spoke to each other about other things. Lexi then brought up Ethan and Grayson. "So, I hear you know those two hot boys that walked into the bar the other night. They always ask about you in the morning," Lexi said.
Mia sighed. "Yeah. Unfortunately, I do know them," she replied. "We use to be best friends. Until they believed social media over me. They saw that I had tweeted something mean about them. But I didn't. I tried to tell them, but they wouldn't listen. Someone had hacked into my account and tweeted it. I would never do something like that. I lost them. I went into depression when they left to LA. I didn't leave my room for months! I couldn't face the world. When they came home, they tried to be friends with me again. But I wasn't having it. They had caused me so much pain. I didn't want to feel that pain again".
She paused. "Eventually, I left my room and went outside. I made new friends. Friends who I thought would always be there for me. We would drink and smoke at the park together. I thought I had made true friends. But I was wrong. Once again! I had vandalised my bully's house with them. And then I was caught by the police. And they ditched me. Left me alone. My family hated how I had turned out. I did my community work, and then I left to New York. And now they're here".
Lexi pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry. I promise I will always be by your side, through the best and worst times. If you ever get caught by the police again, I will be sitting next to you in the car. I will always be there for you!"
Mia hugged back. "Thanks". They broke the hug and walked into the church. They found their seats and sat down. After a while, Macey was walking down the isle. Everyone in the audience stood up and watched Macey walk to the altar.
Everyone sat down and watched the ceremony happen. Everyone was watching, a few people were recording the special moment. It was finally time for them to kiss. When they kissed, everyone cheered.

It was now the after party. Everyone was sitting at the assigned tables and spoke to the people around them. They were eating the food from the buffet. All the adults were drinking alcohol while the kids were drinking juice.
Music was playing while people danced around. Eventually, it was time for the speeches. The best man said his speech. The maid of honour said her speech. And the father of the bride. The groom stood up to say a few words to his wife.
It was finally time for their first dance. Mia stood up and walked up the the stage. She stood in front of the microphone and spoke to everyone. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen". Everyone turned to the stage.
Mia smiled and continued speaking. "Today, we are celebrating the marriage of Macey and Daniel. I wish them both a happy marriage. Over the week that I've spent with them, I've come to realise that they are meant for each other. They are amazing together. Macey had allowed me to choose the song to sing for their first dance. It took a while, but I chose one. I hope they like it".
The music began to play and Mia began to sing. Macey and Daniel began to dance in the middle of the dance floor while Mia sang. After a while, other couples were joining Macey and Daniel on the dance floor.
When Mia finished singing, everyone cheered for her as she walked back to her table. She sat down and drank the whole glass of vodka. She turned to Lexi and smiled. "How did I do?" She asked.
Lexi smiled. "You did great!" She replied. Mia smiled wider and began to drink more of the vodka she had. She sat at the table drinking with Lexi. While they were drinking, Ethan and Grayson walked over to them, and joined them at the table.
Mia sighed and rolled her eyes when she saw them. "Hey!" They greeted. "You did great earlier. It was beautiful. We could tell Macey and Daniel loved the song," Grayson said. He had a glass in his hand that was half gone. He was sitting next to Mia; Ethan sat next to Lexi.
"What are you doing here?" Mia asked him.
"We were invited to the wedding, remember?" He replied.
"I know! I mean, why are you sitting next to me?!" Mia asked again. They both drank the alcohol that was in their hand before answering her question. Ethan and Grayson could see Mia was irritated by them.
"We just wanted to talk to a friend," Ethan replied.
"I don't," she said and stood up and walked away. Lexi stood up and followed her. They spent the rest of the night together, laughing and drinking together. By 3am, everyone had gone home. Mia and Lexi were stumbling along the streets of New York to their apartment.
