I walk into math, sweaty and tired. I see Forest walk in in a similar situation.
"You're like a diamond right now," I say as he walks under the light.
"So do you," he announces to me.
"Well, that's because I'm a vampire. It's totally different."
"Board!" Mrs. Berely informs us, pointing at the board. For the whole period, I do normal AP stuff, getting ahead of class.
"You're done already?!" Forest questions, whisper-yeling.
"It's so easy, as soon as you understand how to do it." I raise my hand for Mrs. Berely to check my work.
"Great, here. You can do this to practice for the test tomorrow." I hate tests. I always never check and get B's. B's. Who can live with B's? I can't. It's worse than... than... well, ANYTHING.
Not realizing that I'm hyperventilating, Forest taps me at my shoulder.
"Are you okay?" He asks, reassuring me.
"Yeah, fine. Thinking of B's."
"Wow... woooow. Really?"
"Yes. It hurts to get B's. It really do-" The bell rings to cut me off.
"Well," he utters as we stand up,"maybe a hug'll calm you down."
And my heart just stops. He takes his arms and wrap it around me with no warning. It takes me 5 seconds to revive and pull away.
"Uh. No," I step back. I think he notices me blushing because the next thing he does is ask me who I liked.
"Um, no one." I'm terrible at lying. I really am because he asks again.
"I said no one," I repeat.
"I know you like someone. Who is it?" He's smirking. I'm blushing.
"Is it... Cam?" He's the most "attractive" guy in school. I put a quotation mark because he isn't. At least, not for me.
"Ew, no. You know, I'm going to say no to all your questions."
"Kyle?"
"No," I'm not popular but I know people. Kyle is another new kid, apparently popular in school. He's not in any periods with me, but I do sometimes see him around the halls. Not the brightest (at least, so I've heard) or prettiest kids in school.
"You know, I'll get it outta you. Maybe not today, but soon. SOON!" He holds out his hand in a fist and shake it with an evil laugh-which is terrible, sorry Forest-sneaked in.
"Ha," I fake laugh and immediately turn fake serious,"no. I only tell the closest friends of mine."
"I'm your friend," he says, putting a hand on his chest, "right?"
Oh my shirt. Three things: 1) My crush wants to be my friend! 2) A guy wants to be my friend! And 3) A cute, hot, and popular prince wants a peasant to be his friend!
"Eww," I joke. "Asians are disgusting!"
"You're Asian!" He yells, laughing.
"No, I'm European. Filipinos are mainly from Spain, which is in Europe, so I'm technically European."
"Then, I'm European, too."
"Suuure, *cough* *cough* Asian. Sorry, I have a throat problem right now," I joke, again.
He nudges me and says bye since Dr. Pelat's classroom is to pass us. I don't want him to leave me. I want him to stay with me forever. But I can't.
