Eleanor's Story

Chapter 2

Eleanor

The rest of the car ride was silent after the news was broken. I realized that Norax was desperate, but I didn't actually think she was that desperate  to get him to become a member.

After thirty minutes we finally pulled up to the Metropolix. Well the back to be exact. I hopped out the car but not before giving Gerald a quiet thank you. He looked back at me a smile on his face. "Be nice to her" he said. So she has told people about my behavior, but I'm guessing she never told them why.

I give him a small smile and walked towards her. Someone who I shouldn't have so much hate towards but believe me, after everything she's done, it's easy to hate her.

"Eleanor, sweetie it's nice to have you back" she said with a smile plastered on her face.

Eleanor looked up and saw her mothers crystal blue eyes staring at her. Her blonde hair was perfectly done, not a misplaced strand in sight.

A lot of people confused them as sisters because the two looked alike. Blonde hair, perfect skin and perfect features. But those weren't really theirs. The Fissarex gave them all those features and Eleanor hated it.

"It's Ele and you shipped me off to that hell hole in the first place" I deadpanned.

Today was definitely not my day, especially after hearing that my bullying wuss of a brother was joining the group.

"Eleanor Jax Geddes, this is not the time for your attitude" she said a thin lining forming from her lips.

"I thought it was always time for an attitude"?

She decided to ignore my comment and began walking to the back door of the Metropolix. "We're heading inside to your room. You must be freezing".

I had completely forgot about the poor excuse of a jacket I had on. Now that she mentioned it I was shivering. Once inside the very warm Metropolix I took off my boots and jacket.

Norax smiled at me, "I remember when you were younger and I would have to scold you on never remembering to do that" she proudly stated.

"Was this before or after the neglect" I snapped back. I hated when she did that, trying to reminisce on the past knowing exactly the wrongs she did.

Her wrongs are exactly why I'm DEFED's closest source.

A pained look masked her face until she gave me that stupid blank face again.

"Let's continue".

She led me to an entire floor made of marble. She pulled out a key and opened a door to her right. "This is where you'll be staying in the meantime". She handed me the golden key.

"Is the key really necessary? Do you not want the Famoux to know about me? They get to know Carstan Van Wimp but not me" I stated faking a hurt expression. 

"Eleanor Jax Geddes, do not speak of your brother like that! Who told you this information" she said giving me a death glare.

I stepped into the room and turned to face her, "It's Ele" I said right when the door shut in her face. I heard her sigh and walk away.

The room was large. The walls were a nice shade of lavender with marble flooring. The bed was in the middle of the room, a thousand pillows on top of it with lavender covering that matched the wall.

The bathroom was to the right and a small kitchen stocked with food and even a microwave. Well I guess she really didn't want them to find out about me.

I flopped down on the bed, the only thing on my mind being sleep.

I awoke to the sound of beeping. I looked around only to find that the noise was coming from my phone. I was getting a call.

"Hello" I stated groggily.

"Ele! Thank god your okay, we thought something happened to you" a very angry Finely exclaimed.

"Sorry Fin, there were cameras in the car so I couldn't text and I fell asleep".

"Well alright. Anything new"?

"Yea, a new member will soon be joining. His name is Carstan Van Horne. You remember my bullying wuss of a brother"?

"The one who bullied the now Emeray? Wow Norax seems extremely desperate now".

"Yea, just like we wanted".

"Alright, report back anything good".

"Over and Out" I stated before hanging up. If Norax knew what her son did to kids she wouldn't think of him as "innocent" anymore. I should tell her but, it's not my business nor place.

I lay there staring at the ceiling for what seems like years (but is only a few seconds) before deciding to get up and explore. I know that if Norax caught me she would be fuming mad but 1. I love when she's mad and 2. I'm bored out of my mind and if I stay here any longer I'll go crazy.

I get up my feet touching the cold marble. I decide the put on a pair of socks to help my feet keep warm. I pull on a hoodie just in case I need to make a run for it and so I won't be easily noticed. After slipping on the socks and hoodie, I slip out the door quietly just in case anyone's on the floor. I spot a stairwell and elevator. I decide to take the stairwell because it might give me better cover. I start climbing the stairs until I reach the third floor.

This is the Famoux floor.I open the door peeking my head through first just to make sure the coast is clear. I tiptoe in the halls checking each room. I get to a door and push it open slightly.

Inside was Calisfer and Kaytee making out. It took all of my willpower not to gag. GET A ROOM WILL YOU!

Oh wait they already have one. I quietly closed their door and continued on my exploration. I walked until I reached what I believed was a living room. There on the white couch sat a beauty.

Till Amaris.

She was stunning, sitting there reading a script for a movie possibly.

I guess it's time for me to admit that I had a slight crush on her. She was a sight, her golden hair in a bun with a couple of strands falling out. I just stood there and stared. Yup totally NOT stalking her.

Thats when I heard it. The click click clicking of heels growing louder and louder by the second. Damnit! I had to hide or else Norax would catch me. I dove into the nearest room and hid there. My ears were pressed against the door, my heart pounding at the thought of being caught. The clicking grew louder until it passed the door.

She and Till were discussing things while I looked around the room.

Then realization dawned upon me. I was in Till's room.

Well I'm really screwed now.
