Jacobus was running around like a little mouse, having no clue where he was going. He was fixing his little bow tie. "Calm down Jake!" Savannah said, standing up from her chair. "Time for what?"
"Time for the siren of the tree!" he yelled. I was about to start chuckling, then I looked over at Paige and Savannah. They both spit out the word "WHAT?"
Jacobus immediately out his hands in front of him. "Well," he said, "it's not NOW but its in a month."
As soon as he said that Paige sighed, unlike Savannah, who got right up to confront Jacobus about his stupidity. I'm on a roll with this wizard talk!
"Jake!" she screeched. "When is it? When is the siren?"
"Im pretty sure it's January 21. Exactly a month from now. I just got it in the news book." he said, leaning over the table. News book? What's that?
"News book?" I said.
"It's a book that whenever you open, it the most latest news that even could be happening at the very moment, is on the page." Paige said. "The front page has a calendar of the events that are gonna happen."
In my oppinion that was very modern. Earth could REALLY use a lot of those. Like, earthquake coming up in a week.
"Okay so what is the siren?" I said without thought.
Jacobus just grabbed a seat next to Paige. She frowned and grunted.
"It's when all the teachers of Ravenwood all come together and throw all their powers in the tree. If not done correctly, it can explode the spiral." he said. "They need the stone of the spiral to do it, which is the same material as that big diamond in the spiral room."
Paige was scooting away, little by little.
"Oh, that room with the floating spiral things?" I asked, sounding stupid.
"Yup. The teachers are all really close friends," he said leaning in closer, up to a whisper, "but I don't know about Malistaire, he seems a little greedy."
I bet the poor kid regretted it as soon as Brice walked in from the secret entrance.
"What'd you say about master Malistaire?"
And as soon as he said that I regretted it.
In the video game, Malistaire turns evil so he can bring his wife back to life. But there was nothing about a stone or anything.
"It's getting a little crowdy..." Savannah said.
And as soon as she said that we all regretted it because then a girl came in. She had brown hair with some strands of blue. She had clear blue eyes, but darker than Paige and Savannah.
"Hey Paige! Hey Savannah! Jacobus, Brice," and as soon as she saw me she stopped.
"Is that Nora?" she said, staring at me.
"I was expecting an idiot mortal that had been gone for years-"
"Hey!" I yelled. I crossed my arms. I didn't know wizards could be so rude.
"Sorry. Girl you've been gone for around Nine years and twelve months and zero days-" she paused. "Oh my god it's your birthday!"
And she just noticed. Wow.
"Jasmine we have no time. We gotta go to Ravenwood now. Go get dressed. And make sure you wear your uniform." Jacobus said.
"Okay!" and Jasmine ran upstairs.
"Nora, come on! I gotta show you what to wear!"
and I followed her upstairs.
