*What did you expect?*
I woke up feeling dizzy and tired. My eyes burned red because sunlight was hitting them. I opened my eyes, and wished I hadn't. Looking straight at me was a panther. He was smiling, which made me smile. And that's when I came to my senses. Hey Aron, there's a human eating cat in front of you, wake up. I screamed a loud, ear piercing scream.
"Hey, calm down. It's just Sabertooth." I heard a familiar voice say. The panther licked my face. "Ew." I said. I patted him on the head. The panther had a little white shield dangling from his neck. I got up and looked around. Next to me was a stream with a broken statute in it. The river was actually super clean. It was blue. Living in New York, the water wasn't always clean.... sometimes it was brown, some kind of dark blue, sometimes even yellow. (You don't wanna know.)
This is why my parents bought a mansion, to avoid pee looking water.
I immediately stood up. "Who the hey are you and where am I?"
Instead of answering, the kid just laughed like a dimwit.
"And why are you laughing? You know, kidnapping is no laughing matter."
The panther rubbed his head on my leg and I got on my knees to pet him.
"You know, he is your birthday present." the boy said. My head popped up. The panther was smiling big, so big his teeth were showing. "Ha, really?" was this a joke? I mean on Jessie, Zuri got a zebra for her birthday but they kept it at a zoo.
"Yup. He's all yours- just a gift from Paige and Savannah." he said. The boy was scratching the back of his head, as if he were nervous. "Well, you didn't really tell me what your name is." I said tapping my foot.
"Oh! My name is Jacobus. But call me Jake, please." as soon as he said that, I broke out into laughs. "Ha! It's like Jacob mixed with bus!" I cracked up.
"Hey! You knock it out! At least my name isn't spelt backwards. I don't believe you fell for a silly little trick like that!"
I paused, and stoped laughing. Even Sabertooth stopped for a minute, and tilted his head like a cute lost puppy. "What do you mean?"
"I mean your name isn't Aron, it's Nora. Your name got spelt backwards, obvious. Did you ever think of it that way?" I gave myself a face palm. Well, it wasn't my fault that Miss Nancy was an idiot and didn't notice it while I was at the orphanage. Here's another news flash- SHE IS STILL EVIL YOU MORONS! She's never gonna become a good guy, so I'd stop dreaming about it if I were you. Like, oh I bet you she becomes nice in the end. You got that part totally wrong, like and F is your overall grade in this book.
Work on it.
"Okay, let's go inside and I'll explain everything to you, promise." Jake said.
"I'm not going into a stranger's h-" before I could say house I looked up and was lost in my imagination. There was a crazy palace in front of me. It looked way to huge to call normal. Holy smokes, I could've fainted! The place was bigger than the city of Oz! It was big and made of white grey stone, and oh my goodness I can't even describe it in words! The stream next to me was a moat, and boy this place was awesome.
"Welcome to the Fantasy Palace, home of the Ambrose family."
Jake pointed at a gate into the area behind the huge walls. "Let's go."
We walked into the room and I was in shock. Wow. A little kid flew right out of the wall next to the staircase, and landed on the ground with a thump.
"I'm okay!" he yelled while getting on his feet. Then he turned and faced me.
"Jakey, who is she?" he asked.
"That's Nora, Leaf!" Jake smiled. Then the little boy faced me.
"Oh hi!" he said, and ran up to me.
"My name is Leaf!" and he held out his hand to shake mine.
This kid was adorable. I wonder who his parents are. The little kid had perfect green eyes and black hair.
Jake led me to the room right behind the staircase. Then we sat at an unbelievable table. The inside was pitch black, and it was curved. It didn't have a surface, because it was a spiral galaxy.
"Dude, either this place has no gravity, or I'm going crazy." I said.
"Its just a meeting table, watch this."
Jake placed a glass of water on the table, and it didn't fall in the curve!
"So, where AM I?" I asked while looking around. The walls were covered in water wallpaper, and bubble flooring. On the wall was a picture of a big plaza with a big lake in the middle.
Jake sighed and wiped sweat from his forehead. "That's a pretty long story. Nora, did anyone-"
"Call me Aron, please."
"Okay then." he continued. "Did anyone ever tell you where you were born?"
I put my hand on my chin and started to think. To be honest, nobody ever did. I mean, Miss Nancy told me I was from brat-land, which was how me and Cara came up with the idea to prank her.
Cara was one of the older girls at the orphanage. We both were told we were from brat-land, and we hated it. We decided to prank Miss Nancy by getting a big white dress from her closet, cutting it to make a banner, and then writing "welcome to brat-land" in red sharpie on it. She was so angry, because that silk was her prom dress.
Some advice ladies, never get a white prom dress.
"Well, unless if this is brat-land..." I murmured. Jake laughed so hard at that, he banged on the spiral table.
"Okay, you know that star you studied as a child?" he said. I nodded my head. That star was like, my main point of view. I studdied it for seven years now, which only today I've learned that it was a gigantic tree.
"Aron, you're ON that star, right now."
My jaw dropped. "What!" I said. "You're telling me that I've spent all these years studying and working for no reason? All I had to do was wait until today?" I threw my arms in the air.
"Are you an alien?" I gasped.
"No no no no!" Jake jabbed. "Now lemme finish my sentence!" He said.
"Fine!" I said like a three year old, and sat down.
"Now that star, as you discovered today, is a galaxy. The galaxy is known as the Spiral. But the area you are in right now is known as Wizard101."
"Wait, isn't that the stupid video game that all these people play when they have nothing better to do?" I said.
Jake slapped himself in the face. "No, let me finish!" he said, throwing his arms in the air. "Alright alright!" I yelled, throwing my hands in the air to imitate him.
"Well, we aren't human, we're wizards. I've only brought you here because you must learn the truth."
