BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP

"Annoying alarm!" I say and look for the phone to turn it off. I look at the screen: 5:15am
I throw back myself to the pillow and cover with a blanket over the head. "Just a few more minutes."
KNOCK KNOCK. "Ava, it's time to get up. Victoria will soon be here," my mum says at the door. "Oh, sh*t, right!" I jump out the bed, I take off my pajamas, wash my teeth, comb my hair, I dress myself, wear the shoes and check my luggage to see if everything is inside. In time of 20 minutes I am already sitting in the living room and wait for my transport. "Darling, don't forget the sunscreen, wear a hat, and if you feel sick on the plane, take the pill," mum starts and grandma continued: "Do not walk around too naked and please, do not leave drinks without control. Oh, and do not talk to strangers. Well, and..."
"Oh, c'mon girls. Just enjoy, Ava," my sister says when she steps in living room. "Thanks, Ela," I thanked to her. She is always on my side. I get a message: we'll be there in a minute

"It's Victoria. They'll be here in a minute," I say and stand up. I give a hug to grandma, mum and at the end to my sister. "When Alex wakes up, tell him to be good and that we'll see us soon."

I walked to the front door, take the suitcase and handbag, when Victoria and her dad arrive. I kiss my mum to goodbye. "Bon Voyage, call when you arrive," she says before I sit in the car.
"Don't worry, Violeta. I put a camera and microphone on Vicky's bags. We can all have them under control," says Eric, Victoria's dad and laugh. He puts my luggage in the trunk and waves to my mum. She laughed too and wave us goodbye. "Did you sleep well?" I ask Victoria. She just nods to me and puts the headphones in her ears. Nice, I think to myself and watch through the car window. The sun is rising and I have a feeling that two excellent weeks are waiting on me. "You probably can't wait sandy beaches, cocktails and parties, like Victoria, huh?" Eric asks me. I shrug with my shoulders: "Yeah, probably. But the most of all, I just want to relax and take a break of school."
Eric looks in rearview mirror and smiles: "You are very good, Ava. You deserve it. I wish that Vicky decided to study." Vicky sighs: "We have already talk about that, right?"
"Look, we just arrived," I say quickly and interrupt their conversation. I know that Victoria don't like to talk about school. She is old enough to decide what she'll do in life. Eric parks a car, we step out and each of us take own luggage. "Thanks, dad. Don't miss me too much," Victoria says and gives a quick hug to her dad. Then she turns and walks through the airport entrance. "Are you two okay?" he asks me, when I hug him too. "Yep, don't worry. She is probably nervous because of flight. You know, it is our first time to travel by ourselves," I smile to him. "Thanks for the ride. Oh, and you weren't meant seriously with that micro and camera, right?"
Eric laughs: "Well, it is true that I am former detective, but I totally trust you, girls. You two just have a lot of fun, and please do not fight. You are friends for whole life. Let it be your unforgettable journey. You are first time alone, without adults." I hug him again, and rushed to Victoria. I catch her in line for check-in. "Thank you to wait for me," I say sarcastically. She shrugged, said nothing.

After two minutes of painful silence it's our time to check-in. Everything goes smoothly, so we walk to the waiting room. We sit on the only two free chairs. "Ok, can you tell me what is wrong? Why you don't talk to me? Still the one from yesterday?" I start and unplugged headphones off her ears and put them in my handbag. "Can you please give it to me back?" I shake my head. She crossed her arms at the chest acting like a child. "C'mon, you are acting like my little five years old brother!" I almost shout. "When you would tell me?" she asks.
"Oh, god. Just get over it, ok?! It was just a photo!"
"Sorry, but it was not. At that photo was my best friend. And her stupid ex-boyfriend. How you can stay in touch with someone who only hurt you? He never had done anything good for you!"
"I am not in touch with him, Vic."
"Are you sure? Do not lie to your best friend!"
"Fine! Few months ago he texted me, if we can meet," I say and look at the floor. "And? You went?" I nod: "Yes. He just wants to apologize to me." Victoria starts laughing: "Oh, please, Ava! I can't believe you met him and you did not say anything to me!"

"Passengers for flight 23-Athens, take the exit F," we can hear the voice from the speaker.

I check my plane ticket: "It's our flight. Let's go," I say and want to stand up, but she grabs my hand and pulls me back on the chair. "I really don't know if I still want to travel with you. You didn't tell me everything."
"Vicky... I... He...didn't know that I was preg-..."

"Final call for all the passengers for flight 23-Athens. Please take the exit F," interrupts our conversation well known voice. "Come on, it will be time to talk some other moment," I say, take her hand and stand up. Vic sighs and stands too: "Fine, but after vacation. I do not want to hear anything about this idiot in these two weeks," she says and hugs me. I hug her back. "You know, I like hugging but I really want soak my feet in that goddamn beautiful turquoise sea," she says and we laughed. We see that we are the only ones in the waiting room, so we rushed towards the exit F. Well, almost, if Victoria not to forget her handbag. "Oh, god! My handbag!" she yells, turn herself and crashes into... well, very handsome guy. Nice start of vacation. They crushed very hard and they collapsed to the floor. "Vicky!" I yell and hurry to help her. But (thanks god) I was too late. That cutie pie helps her already. "Sorry, sorry," he starts apologizing. "Oh, it's nothing. I'm fine," she says and blushes. "I think, this belongs to you," he says and gives her hers adoring Michael Kors handbag. "Yes, it's mine. How can I pay you?" she says and gives him that sexy look like only she knows it. In that moment I look at him better and recognize him in a second. I have a smile from ear to ear. "Vicky," I start and tap her by the shoulder. She looks at me. Now he blushes. He knows that I know who he is. "Do you know who is he?" I whisper in Vicky's ear. She shrugs with her shoulders. Of course, she don't. She is not the sportiest type. She knows everything, but sport is really her weakest point. "My name is Alex," he says and smiles to us. Now I stay out of breath, but I realize that he is typically Victoria's type of guy. "Hands off," I said to myself. One of the employees steps towards to us and says: "Sir, your plane will take off soon. Please, hurry." Alex smiles and thanks to him. "Sorry, but I have to go. I really cannot miss that flight. The only holidays on this year are waiting on me," he says and almost leaves. "Wait! Do you fly to Athens?" I ask him. He nods. "Awesome, the two of us too," says Victoria. "My seat is 34 C," she adds. I quickly check my ticket and like always, the luck is not in our side. This is our 12 flight together and we still haven't sit together. So not fair! "Like always, seat 11 A," I said. Friend gives me a sad look. "Well, it seems that we are destined," Alex says and looks at Vicky, "seat 34 B." Victoria glows with happiness. Yeah, he is totally her type. "Athens, here we come!" we both scream and all three finally board the plane. Sorry for being late, captain, crew and other passengers. This is how it look like, when Ava Garcia and Victoria Alvarez are travelling.
