We had a chat almost by the morning. We fell asleep around two-thirty and surprisingly we both awake at 7:00 am. Yesterday's conversation with my friend really helped me. I am ready for a new beginning and the first real meeting with Marc. We get dressed and we go to have breakfast. Today we are so early that we are first in the restaurant. All of food is fresh. Now we have breakfast and talk about everyday things. "Can I ask you something?" Vicky says and drops a cup with coffee. "Sure," I say and eat another piece of cheese. "What do you feel for Sakis?" she asks. I fix a tablecloth and take a look towards the sea. "I don't know, Vic. He is very handsome. I like his company, but..." I shut up. "But you don't know what to do with Marc, right?" Vicky nods. "Yes. I know that we don't really know each other, but yesterday when we bumped...I felt like something really sparkles between us," I confess. "I felt that too. He undresses you with his eyes. Already then when you were learning how to dance sartachi," Vicky says and I start laughing. "It's syrtaki, Vic. Hahahahaha," I tap her by the hand, "it's all right, within two weeks you'll remember everything." She swings with her arm and laughs: "It doesn't really matters. So, you promise that you won't run away from Marc today?" she asks. My heart starts beating really fast again. "I promise." Vicky smiles: "Let's go to the pool. Or do you have planned something else?" she asks when we get up from the table. "Actually, I would really like to sunbathe and swim," I agree. "Okay, we are going to the pool," Vicky says and smiles. At the exit of restaurant we meet with Marquez brothers and their friend. "Good morning," boys greet. Marc and I exchanged looks. Alex and Vicky hugs. "You're early," Marc says and smiles. "Nothing left for the sleepyheads," I reply and smile. "It's okay, I prefer desserts," Marc winks at me. I smile and fix the lock of hair. "Hey guys, I'm starving. Can we meet later?" Alex says and taps Marc by his shoulder. "Sure, we'll be at the pool," Vicky says. "Okay, see you later," Alex replays and all three leave and laugh. "What an energy between you two! I think we will have fireworks," Vicky laughs and hugs me around my shoulders. When we get to the room, we start to choose a swimsuit. Vicky selects one-piece swimsuit in green colour, I decided that I am going to be more daring. From the bottom of my suitcase I pull out red bikini, which I had never dressed before. I really hope that they still fits me. I go to the bathroom and get dress. "Oh, sweetie. Can you be sexier?" She's thrilled. We laughed, like two crazy teenagers. I make a high ponytail, put sunglasses on and around the waist I tie a kerchief. We walk to the pool. Because it's still early we are here all alone too. We pick an excellent place and each of us lay on her own deckchair. "Vicky," I say. "Yes?" she answers and looks at me. "What about you and Alex?" I ask. "We're friends," she replies immediately. "I know that, but...you like each other, right?" I put my sunglasses off and look at her. "I don't know. I mean, he is gorgeous, but...these three days we were more concerned with you and his brother," she says and smiles. "We are old enough to take care for ourselves. Vic, I want you to be happy. You two go to dinner or for a night walk," I suggest. "Talking about dinner. Didn't you say that Sakis invited you?" she replies. I nod: "Yes, but yesterday I really couldn't go."
"But you'll go some other day? Right?"
"I promise to him," I say and put my sunglasses back, "at the end we're friends," I add. "Friends have sex?" Vicky shoots. I laughed: "We didn't." Vicky leans forward: "You almost had, Ava. All thanks go to me, that you didn't."
"Vicky, I was drunk," I am trying to defend. "Yeah, nine months later the baby's crying, like with most drunken girls. Who knows, maybe would have been cute little Sakis." I silently stare at her. "Sorry, Ava. This is not good topic for you. I just say it...I didn't do it on purpose, I am really sorry," she says and hugs me. "It's okay, Vic. Talking about Sakis. Have you seen him today?" I ask and look around. "Speak of the devil," Vic says when we see him walking to us with two glasses of lemonade in his hands. "Good morning. Freshly prepared lemonade for my favorite tourists," he says. We thanked to him and waiting what he will tell. "Ava, can we talk on private?" he asks and looks at me. "I'll be in Jacuzzi," Vicky says and leaves us alone. "I am really sorry for what happened yesterday," I say, when he sits next to me. He looks at me: "Do you?" I shrug with the shoulders: "I'm desperate when I am drunk. You're great, amazing friend and I don't want to ruin everything." He takes my hand and takes it to his lips and kisses it: "We can be just friends, if you wish. But if you want something more... You don't know how hard was yesterday for me. I wanted to kiss every millimeter of your body, feel your skin on mine. It was hard to hold back, but I didn't want to take advantage of you. Greeks are passionate, when we love, we do it with all our heart. I won't disappoint you, Ava." He looks me in the eyes and I can see that he's telling me the truth. "Sakis, I...I need the time. I really like you but...Here is someone else," I confess. He nods: "Marc, right?"
"Yeah," I say quietly. "I want to know him better."
"I understand, Ava. It's just your decision. But I still want to invite you to dinner. Like a friend, of course." I give him a smile: "Absolutely. I promised you. Whenever you want." He smiles too: "What about tonight? I will let you know about time and place." I squeeze his hand: "Deal, let me know on time." He kisses me on the cheek and stands up: "I have to go back at work. See you, have fun." I wave him goodbye. "Waaaaatch oooooooooooouuuut!!!!" I hear yelling and suddenly I see a huge splash. I laughed and take a look towards the pool, where are known three guys. Alex has already swam to Victoria, Ben is sinking and Marc swims to the edge of the pool. I get up, I put down sunglasses and walked up to him. "Can you help me out?" Marc says and looks at me with his beautiful brown eyes. I smile to him and reach my hand to him. "Pleasure to meet you. Marc Marquez Alenta, in your favor," he says when he accepts my hand. My heart is beating like crazy - AGAIN! "Ava Garcia, with respect," I replied when he pulls me into the water. I take a breath on the right time then I find myself at the bottom of the pool. I soon swim to the surface, where Marc laughs like a small child. "Sorry, but I have to do something special for our official meeting," he says and dunks himself for few seconds. "Good idea. Little childish, but good," I teased him when he appears again on the surface. I swim to the Jacuzzi, which previously had been Victoria. Now she's having fun with Alex, Ben is still sinking. "Ben trains for the sea?" I ask Marc, when I sit between bubbles. Marc laughs: "Yeah, he's determined to go with a diving team in the open sea tomorrow."
"Sounds awesome," I say honestly. "Oh, not really... Open sea, deepness, all these sea animals..." he says. "You prefer pool, right?" I say. "Yeah, how do you know?" he asks when he sits next to me. "I was watching an interview with you," I say, "Questions and answers," I continue. "With Pedrosa," we both say. We laughed. "You like the sea?" he asks. "Yeah, as long as I can step down. I really hate deepness. As soon as I see stepping in empty space I turn around and swim back. The panic quickly grabs me," I tell him honestly. He nods. "Can I ask you something?" he says while he plays with the bubbles. "Yeah, sure," I reply. "What is happening between you and that Greek?" he asks directly. I smile. Marc Marquez worries about Greek? "Why are you interested?" I ask back. "Oh, just... The last time he was little angry because I brought you to the room," he says and pops a bubble. "Oh...yeah, about that... I have to thank you. I am really embarrassed, because I was so drunk," I say and now I pop the bubbles too. "You're welcome. I always help when I can. I saw you dancing. You're good," he says. "Are you always so generous with compliments?" I ask and smile. "I am rarely in contact with girls. It's always me, my motor bike and the team. In fact, there's no time for girls." I nod: "I understand. You're unbelievable. You have an amazing feeling for the bike and the speed. I admire you, I swear. I like that you never give up," I say honestly. He's quiet and he's only smiling. Wait a second! Marc Marquez really stays speechless. I think this is rare.
