I'm Back

Chapter 13

After our lunch break Taylot and I had to split up from Tyler because we had fitness and Tyler had Maths next.
"I missed you so much B." Tyler said turning around to give me a huge bear hug when we reached the gym. I groaned in pain. He my not be on the wrestling team anymore but he still has muscle. Taylor helped pry him off of me. "You can hang out at our place after school." Tay said. "Just, be careful. Now that people have seen you with us they're going to try to get to you." Tay said with worry laced in her tone but not at all visible in her facial expression which remained blank. Did she really care for Ty already? "Don't worry babe I can handle myself." Ty winked and then flexed. Taylor rolled her eyes and walked away. "Hey that's my thing." I joke to Taylor as she walked into the gym. I turned back to Tyler smiling. "Bye Ty." I said and he waved while I hurried to catch up to Taylor.

When we walk into the gym I look around for a gym instructor praying that they do not give me much trouble. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not bad in gym or anything I'm actually really athletic. Most fitness teachers that I've had have been guys and think because I'm a girl they should cut my workouts rather than bring the heat and give me a challenge. I hear the very loud and high pitched sound of a whistle and everyone starts to gather in a circle around the gym teacher. I was at the edge and could only see the teachers back but I looked at the back of his forearm and notice a very familiar tattoo along with his voice which was some what familiar as well but I just couldn't put my finger on it.

I give up trying to guess who he is and space out as he calls roll because I am one of the first to be called since my last name starts with a "C". "Okay we may have a couple of new students here but that does not mean this is a free day." He starts his thick french accent laced around every word. "Now, with that said I want you all to go change and meet on the track in 8 minutes." He demanded and blrw the whistle dismissing us. He went toward the double doors and went outside disappearing from my line of vision.

Everyone goes to the separate locker rooms and begins to change but as I changed Tay looked over and grabs my wrist and takes my to a corner. "Your glasses." She whispers. "What?" I ask confused. "B, your sunglasses. The instructor will make you take them off. Put in your contacts." She whispers. Shoving me toward an empty bathroom stall after handing me a small mirror and my blue contacts.

My eyes are a cold and super deep but sparkling grey, almost silver color that is unforgettable. Nates eyes are a dark forest green. He looks like my mom but his hair is slightly a darker red where my dad and I have bright red hair. I've always loved my red hair. It's long and fluffy but never really gets messy so I don't have to do it often. Anyway. Do you know how hard it is to put on contacts and hold a mirror at the same time?! No will never know unless you try.

I make it out of the bathroom with two minutes left to change into my gym uniform. Lucky for me it fit perfectly but now I have to hurry to the feild. I grab my sunglasses and put them on anyway and sprint out of the locker room, through the gym, and to the field. The other students were streaching but the teacher was off to the side looking around. "Cross! You're late!" Shouted the teacher turning around. I recognized him the second he turned around "Trainer Marquis?! Is that you? " I asked in disbelief "Neonata! I missed you!" He said hugging me and spinning my around, calling me babygirl like he used to.

Marquis is my former personal trainer who trained my when I lived in Italy before I met Taylor but a year ago he moved and we lost contact but Marquis is like a father to me. He is around 6'3 and had dark hair that is always perfectly gelled back. He has broad shoulders and beefy muscles and looks really intimidating and mean, and he is... unless he likes you. Then he's cool.

We took a quick second to catch up with each others loves and I introduced him to Taylor who he likes because " It's rare for my Neonata to like anyone so if she likes you I like you." He says. He blows the whistle and starts giving orders. "Today we're just gonna run the track." He says and everyone groans. "Whoa, you don't like that? Fine let's play a game. Since this is everyones last period whoever runs the most laps can gets an early dismissal pass everyday next week." He said crossing his arms. Everyone started to get exited and start to whisper to the people around them.

"You should just give me the passes because we all know I'm gonna win this." Said a voice in the croud. Marquis looked down at me and chuckled a bit knowing how competitive I am. "We'll see. Who said that?" Marquis asked. Everyone went silent. "I did." Said Nate stepping forward.
