"How long have we been down here now?" I asked Octavia. My mind was so stuck on the scenes that had taken place the night before. It had been about 24 hours since it all happened, and I still remembered it so clearly.

"14 days," she answered quickly looking down at the ground, drawing with a stick in the dirt. As the dark closed in on us, Octavia had joined me sitting on a bench.

I chuckled a little bit when I thought about what she's said. "What is it?" She asked and looked up at me, with a slight, but insecure, smile on her face.

"Uhm, it's my birthday," I said. "Well, when it passes midnight, it'll me my 18th birthday," I shrugged slightly.

"What, really?" She asked dropping her stick and leaning closer.

"Yeah," I sighed. "As I young teenager, you know like 13, 14," I said and looked up at her and she looked very excited. "I looked forward to becoming 18, you know! But," Octavia's smile disappeared. "I got locked up, and I wasn't just waiting for turning 18. I was waiting for being floated!" I felt tears welling up in my eyes, and Octavia noticed.

"We have to celebrate!" She said trying to make the mood better.

"No," I chuckled sligtly. "No one seems to keen on celebrating me!"

"I have an idea on what we can do, so you can enjoy it just a little, at least." Her smile was bigger than ever. "On Unity Day," she said proudly.

"You're proposing I celebrate my birthday on Unity Day?" I asked, repeating her, just to be clear. "I don't know about that. I mean, I'm not the most popular person around here-"

"No one needs to know," she cut me off. "Except you and I, and Jasper and Monty, for example!" I tried to hide the smirk she was bringing out with her kind gestures. "I've heard Jasper makes a kick-ass moonshine!"

"Kick-ass moonsh- aren't you like 15? 16?" I had to give it to her, she had made me a little bit happier and I was very thankful. Octavia was about to say something but her attention was brought to something up in the sky.

"What is that?" She asked and stood up. I turned around before standing up as well. We both took a few steps in the direction of the sighting.

"A shooting star?" I asked and folded my arms over my chest.

"It's not fading away," she said. "Bellamy," she yelled and started walking more towards the center of the camp. "Bellamy get out here!" I went to join her. Not long after she had called for her brother, Bellamy exited his tent and joined her right side. "There," Octavia said and pointed towards the light flying over the sky. A parachute was shot out of the object we were all looking at. More people were gathering around us.

"Are they coming to help us! Now we can kick some grounder ass!" A guy said coming up behind me.

"Please tell me they brought down some shampoo," a girl only covering herself in some sheets said.

"We should go find it," I said. "We need whatever help they've come with."

"We should wait until morning," Bellamy said and took a step forward and looked at Octavia and I. "It'll be easier to search with the sunlight."

"Anyone can find it by then! We need to go now," I almost chuckled at his stupid suggestion.

"Bellamy, she's right!" Octavia backed me up. "The grounders are everywhere. They know these woods better than we do!"

"That's exactly why we should wait for tomorrow. We'll get lost!" Bellamy tried to argue.

"We got people who can read a map," I said and took a step closer. "Now go get some damn clothes on!" I said sounding angry before turning around to go get ready. I went to my tent to get some better clothes. When I entered my tent, I needed to take some time to collect myself. The sight of Bellamy made the anger boil inside me. What made it worse was the fact that Octavia had just made me a little happier, then Bellamy came along and ruined it in two seconds. I exited my tent and joined Octavia who had also gotten some more clothes on.
