"Hey, Eden!" Clarke said coming over to me, as I was helping Jasper and Monty pack food. I just turned to look at her for a second to tell her I was listening as I put another nut in my mouth. "Bellamy and I are going out to look for some supplies, and we're leaving you in charge." As she said it, I choked on my nut and started to cough.

"Leaving me in charge?" I asked once I had stopped coughing. "We don't need anyone in charge while you're gone," I chuckled slightly and continued to pack the nuts. "People are gonna continue their jobs, and barely even notice you're gone."

"That is true, but just, keep people out of trouble."

"Like a babysitter?" I chuckled again. It was like she didn't remember these people were all criminals and had been down here for just as long as she had.

"No, just-"

"I'll watch out if anything happens," I cut her off, and gave her a fake weak smile. "Good luck on your scavenger hunt," I said and threw another nut in my mouth. I didn't mean to sound so rude and sarcastic, but it just sort of happened.

"Miller is watching the grounder at the moment. They're working in shifts. You don't really have to worry about it. They know who's working when. We're leaving in maybe 30 minutes." I nodded at her. She walked away and suddenly Jasper asked something, changing the topic.

"What do you think we're gonna do with the grounder?" Jasper said as he smashed a nut.

"I'd rather not think about it," Monty answered.

"Octavia told me he saved her, out it the woods. Maybe he isn't bad," I shrugged and continued to put nuts into the small bags.

"I wonder how long it is 'till his friends come," Jasper said.

"Maybe he doesn't have any friends," I shrugged again. "Either they won't come and get him, or, in this very moment, they're plotting our deaths."

"Cheer up you two," Monty said. "By then all of us will have died by hypothermia." He threw a nut into Jasper's mouth, and he did make the shot. They did one of their charming high fives.

"Hey, give me one," I smiled and reached out my hand for Monty to hand me a nut.

Another ten minutes passed, and we continued to pack nuts, but I noticed they both started to become restless.

"Eden!" I heard someone yell, but I couldn't hear where it was coming from. The same voice yelled my name again. It sounded as if they were in a desperate need for help.

"Did you guys hear that?" I asked and kept turning around to see if I could find the source. But the scream didn't come again, making me completely lost.

"I didn't hear anything," Jasper said, but his voice faded into nothing. He hit Monty in the upper arm and they both started to walk away.

"Boys," I yelled after them but they didn't stop. I could see them enter a tent. My feet ran so fast, I almost wasn't able to stop once I reached the tent. I entered it and saw Jasper bent over Monty who lied down chewing on something.

"I'd like to give Earth a giant hug!" Monty said looking up into the roof of the tent as if the most beautiful night sky was above him.

"Dude, these nuts," I said and walked passed Jasper. "Are better than normal nuts!" I stated and popped three more into my mouth.

"You're acting weird!" Jasper told Monty.

"I feel weird. But in a good way," he said and winked at Jasper.

"Eden!"

"There was that scream again!" I said. I grabbed a small handful of nuts and exited the tent again. I popped another nut in my mouth.
