"Where's Octavia, shouldn't she be here to see this?" I asked Bellamy as we continued to look at the rockets as they grew smaller. Once I wasn't answered I looked up at him. He looked around himself in panic. The show was over and people were heading back to their tents, but Bellamy and I stood still. "Bellamy?" He continued to look around and started to walk around the camp slightly.
"She's not here," he almost whispered. "Octavia!" He started to yell. There was no answer. He shouted her name again before grabbing a torch. Still no response.
"I'll go get Clarke," I said and turned to walk towards her tent. "Clarke?" I asked as I bent down slightly to look inside.
"Yeah?" She sighed. She stood up and joined me outside.
"Have you seen Octavia?" I asked worried. There had been so much to do that day I had totally forgotten about her. I also couldn't remember seeing her work on the rockets with us.
"No, I mean. It's Octavia, she's probably chasing butterflies," she said way to calm.
"Clarke, can you remember seeing her today at all?" I asked as Bellamy joined my side.
"I've checked the camp, she is not here!" Bellamy said sternly and Clarke seemed to listen to us.
"Okay, I'll help you find her!" She said and we started to walk. "We'll check the camp again. Bellamy, you go to the dropship, Eden, check out the wall and I'll check the rest of the tents." We split up and I walked towards the entrance of the camp. I hesitated to step outside this time, but I did it. I really wanted to find Octavia. My feet walked me around the wall carefully not to draw any attention to me in case there was someone or something out there.
"Octavia," I whispered a few times, but there was no voice responding me. Once I had checked the whole wall I walked back in and joined Clarke and Bellamy standing by the fire. "She's not in the area around the wall."
"Hey," Bellamy yelled and brought the attention of everyone still outside towards him. "My sister has been out there for 12 hours. Gear up, we're not coming back without her." People walked and grabbed weapons placed in front of them. "Eden," he said and stopped me from getting a weapon. "I want you to stay here." I was about to protest but he continued to talk. "If she comes back, I want someone who knows her to be here!" He said and I agreed.
"Look at that," someone said and pointed at the sky. Hundreds of white lights flew across the sky. "It's beautiful!"
"They didn't work," Raven said disappointed and joined us. "They didn't see the flares."
"The meteor shower tells you that?" Bellamy asked.
"It's not a meteor shower, it's a funeral. Hundreds of bodies being returned to the Earth from the Ark. This is what it looks like from the other side," Clarke said with disgust in her voice directed towards Bellamy. I understood that once I looked at him and saw him look at the ground, guilt written all over his face.
"They didn't get out message," she spoke again.
"Well, what's done is done," I said. "We tried. It's now in the past." The crowd was uncomfortably quiet. "Let's go find Octavia."
"This is all your fault!" Raven said storming towards him, but both Finn and Clarke grabbed her.
"I helped you find the radio."
"Yeah, after you took it from my pod!"
"Hey," I yelled and they became quiet once again. "We don't have any time to waste! The past in in the past and we can't change it! So go out there and find Octavia." Now I wasn't just speaking to Raven and Bellamy, but everyone surrounding us.
