"Hey Picasso, can I go and explore the territory?" A little foal named Dove asked, swishing her tail.

"Sure honey, just stay on the border." Picasso smiled and Dove cantered off. Picasso watched as she disappeared further. "Foam, watch the territory." Picasso ordered with a stern voice, and Foam nodded his head. "Of course, sir."

Picasso trotted after Dove, making sure she didn't get herself in trouble.

Dove walked along a border she had never seen before, it wasn't marked by any of the other herds. Her little hooves pounded against the dust ground, out of nowhere, a young buckskin colt snarled and lunged towards her.

Dove winced and stood in horror, but the buckskin came to a stop. "You didn't defend yourself very well." The little colt chuckled and Dove opened her eyes.

"Who are you?" Dove asked, her ears perked up and her feet tingled with excitement.

"I'm Raja, I'm from the Outherds." The colt explained, swishing his tail. He circled Dove with curiosity. "You smell weird." He laughed and Dove pinned her tiny ears.

"I do not!" She snapped and they both stood in silence. "I'm Dove, I from StreamHerd." Dove muttered and Raja looked in astonishment.

"You're from a herd, cool!" He nickered and playfully reared.

"Hey, wanna play?" Dove asked, playfully nipping. Raja nodded his head and reared. Dove reared back and they started to playfully kick and bite.

Raja started to circle with Dove and she bounced around, wiggling her hind in the air. "What are you doing?" Raja questioned, hiding the laughter.

"Picasso says to never turn your back on an enemy." Dove kept wiggling around and Raja stopped in confusion. Raja bent down, ready to leap and suddenly a deafening shriek came from the side and a figure jumped in front of the two foals. Then someone leaped from a line of bushes, crushing the other figure with all of it's power. Raja recognized the mare from the bushes, it was Rogue, his mother.

Rogue quickly lifted from the other horse and stood in front of Raja. The other horse was broad shouldered, very tall, and stood with pride. "Stay away from my territory." The stallion snapped towards Rogue and she pinned her ears.

"One mistake didn't kill anybody." Rogue lashed her tail and snapped her teeth.

"Yes it did, you're a mistake and you killed many horses." Picasso snarled and Rogue forced herself from rearing.

Rogue ignored his comment and pushed Raja forward with her nose. "This is Raja, we may of been kicked out but he is the next leader." Rogue smiled and Picasso eyed the foal. Raja started to shake with fear and the stallion standing over him gave a brutal glare.

"Leave at once." Picasso demanded and Rogue turned around and tracked back towards the Outherd. Raja took her side and they walked home in silence.

Picasso watched until they were far away, and took Dove home. "Dove, you know those horses are really dangerous." Picasso twitched his ear in remembrance of the death of Taka.

"Yes, but he didn't seem dangerous." Dove muttered and looked up at her prideful leader.

"But he's raised in it, so it's likely he's going to become danger." Picasso scolded Dove.

"But a hero can always rise from their family." Dove scolded back and trotted away to he mother. Picasso stood in wonder, that foal has a lot of potential.  He thought to himself, then walked up to his Herd rock.

Rogue led Raja to inside her cave and sat him down on a rock that looked like a chair. She saw Jaguar had entered the room with her, and watched what was happening.

"Mother, were you proud of me?" Raja asked, fear filling his eyes as his mother snarled under her breath. Rogue looked at him and started to sing.

"Never mind that, sleep my little Raja

Let your dreams take wing

One day when you're big and strong

You will be a king.

I've been exiled, persucuted

Left alone with no defense

When I think of what that brute did,

I get a little tense

But I dream and dream so pretty

That I don't feel depressed

Cause soothes my inner demon

And it helps me get some rest

The sound of Picasso's dying gasp,

His daughter squealing in my grasp,

His mate's mournful cry

That's my lullaby

Now in the past I've tried forgetting

And my foes I could forgive

Trouble is, I know it's petty,

But I hate to let them live

(Jaguar) So you found yourself somebody who'd make Picasso flee

(Rogue) Oh, the battle may be bloody, but that kind of works for me

The melody of angry growls

A counterpoint of painful howls

A symphony of death, oh my!

That's my lullaby

Prince is gone....but Rogue's still around

To love this little lad

Till he learns to be a killer

With a lust for being bad!

(Jaguar)- Sleep, you precious little thing, one day when you're big and strong

(Rogue)- You will be a king!

The pounding drums of war (The horses started to pound their hooves on the ground)

The thrill of Raja's mighty neigh!

I can hear the cheering

(The other horses)- Raja what a guy!

(Rogue)- Payback time is nearing

And then our flag will fly

Against a blood-red sky

Yes, that's my lullaby!"

Rogue finished singing and saw Raja in a deep sleep, she circled around him and saw Prince. You are going to be Prince, or even better, a king. Rogue smiled to herself and walked off with Jaguar at her side.
