Hermione's POV:
I walked quickly down to the kitchen, Ron trying to keep up behind me.
"Where are we going?" He asked, along with another series of questions I was too mad at him to answer. "Hermione, what are we doing? Why won't you answer me? I said I was sorry, didn't I? What more do you want me to do? I thought we were going to find Harry, what are we doing in the Kitchens? Oh yes, I'll take a-"
"Ron!" I scolded. "We are not here to order food from these poor house elves!" I huffed and turned sharply, searching for any sign of Dobby. "We are only here to find Dobby and get his help finding Harry."
"Oooohhhh." Said Ron, as he finally understood what we were doing here.
I rolled my eyes and continued to search. Fortunately, one of the house elves had heard me, and had gone to fetch Dobby. As he did so, I couldn't help feeling bad about it all. One of these days, I'll find a way to convince them all to fight for their freedom....somehow.
But, for now, I needed to be absolutely sure that Harry was safe. And to do that, I needed Dobby's help.
When the house elf returned, I thanked him for getting Dobby, and the other house elves all asked if there was anything else they could help me with.
It hurt. It hurt my heart, seeing them all so happy to be slaves...
But I couldn't do anything about that just yet...
"No, thank you all. I just needed to see Dobby, is all." They then went happily back to their work, and I turned to Dobby, who was dressed from head-to-toe in a variety of socks, hats, scarfs, a kitchen apron, a couple buttons, some pins, and even a few safety pins.
This almost made me smile, and would have, if I'd known whether or not Harry was safe.
"Hello Dobby." I greeted him, though my voice sounded as rushed and worried as I felt.
Dobby greeted me with his usual cheerful self, and I impatiently started explaining the situation as to finding Harry.
"Oh dear! Harry Potter, missing?!" Dobby exclaimed.
"Yes, Dobby. Do you think you could help us find him?"
Dobby nodded his head quickly, his large ears flopping around a bit as he did so. "Oh, yes. Anything for Harry Potter and his friends!"
"Good. Now, please hurry!" I said, and with that, Dobby vanished with a pop.
"Come on, Ron!" I said, grabbing him as he was in the middle of ordering more food. "We're still looking for Harry too, and don't think I've forgiven you just yet!"Harry's POV:
"Won't your friends worry about where you're at?" Draco questioned.
"Hermione will, but Ron's usually pretty understanding about me sneaking off in the middle of the night." I replied, wanting him to continue playing the piano. Draco really did have a gift.
"Yes," Draco pressed on, "but it's not like you just sneaked off. You never showed up in your dormitory. That won't worry him at all?"
I sighed. "Let them worry."
This seemed to shock him. "You don't care if they think you're hurt, or worse?"
"They always think I'm hurt or something, and I hardly ever am. Especially Hermione. She dose nothing but worry. And read."
Just then, there was a pop noise in the room. I froze, and Draco looked around, but before either of us saw anything, there was another pop. Whoever it was had left.
"You can't apparate in Hogwarts..." I said.
"The Death Eaters found a way." Draco countered.
"Dumbledore fixed that. It could've been a house elf. They have different magic than people..." I replied.
Draco nodded. "Let's leave, before any other unexpected guests find us."
I nodded, and led the way to the door, but the moment I stepped outside, I heard some form of a happy shriek.
"Harry!"
