"Hi, I'm Dan. I believe we are soul mates?" Dan held his hand out, hoping the pale boy would accept it. The pale boy smiled and firmly shook his hand. "Hey, I'm Phil! W-would you like to join me for coffee?" Dan could see that Phil was shy, and obviously had little experience asking somebody out. There were no tattoos on Phil's arms or legs. "Yes, it would be my pleasure." He smiled at Phil. Phil smiled back at him. God, his smile. It made Dan want to kiss him, even though they barely knew each other. Phil's eyes...the perfect shade of blue. The color was so intense it could cut through metal. But the eyes themselves showed kindness.

Dan immediately was in love.

Phil was attracted to Dan. He already invited him out for coffee. He didn't know what to do next. Will his new interest say yes? What happens if he says no? Will Phil be able to live with the rejection of his own soul mate? What if he opens up a door and he can't close it? Or even worse, he could be very nice.
And have a lovely personality.
And make him laugh.
And come out of hiding.
What does he do with that?
"Yes, it would be my pleasure."
And he smiled. Oh god, Dan's smile. The way his eyes light up, and the crinkles at the corner of his eyes, and how he shows all his teeth, and how his mouth opens just a little bit, as if he is about to laugh. All of it, Phil loved. All he wanted was to see that smile. "Lovely," he whispered, and he meant it. Though he barely knew Dan, he was head-over-heels. Together they walked to the coffee shop through the cool Autumn breeze, talking and laughing. When they got to the shop, they sat down at a booth and one of the waitresses walked over to them. She was very pretty, very tan, and had short, curly hair. "Danielle! I knew you would be here. Listen, I need to tell you something," Dan said. Figures, Phil thought. Daniel and Danielle. Their mom was soooo creative. He watched as Danielle started squealing and whispering excitedly to Dan. She looked over his shoulder right into Phil's eyes, and smiled. He knew she was...what was the word?... fangirling. That's it. Fangirling. He blushed, and looked down at his long, pale fingers. Suddenly, another tan set of fingers joined the table across from him. "So you're the soulmate," She said. She was smiling and glaring at him simultaneously.
"Y-yes."
"Hurt him, I hurt you. Understand?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Good! Now, I am SO happy for you! The fan art I am going to make... ANYWAYS, since you have made dear Daniel so happy, two cups of coffee! On the house!"
"Wow, t-thanks. I appreciate it!" Phil made someone happy? Usually even his own mother was disappointed in him. Butterflies flew around in his stomach as him and Dan caught each others gaze. Before he could smile, Danielle stood, smiling. "Well, I'll leave you two alone! Get to know each other while I get your coffees!"

Dan couldn't be more mortified. His sister just HAS to go and threaten everyone he has been in a relationship with! God, what was her problem? The thought of her passed as he sat down next to Phil, whose hands were shaking. Danielle must have scared him. "Did she threaten you?" Dan asked. Phil nodded violently. "There is no messing with that woman," Phil said, glancing in her direction. "Don't worry, she's just trying to scare you. She's too lazy to actually get up and hurt someone," Dan said, smiling at how true that statement was. Phil laughed. Wow, his laugh was amazing. It was subtle, and perfect, and real. Dan found himself loving more features about Phil. They were truly meant for each other.
