"Please don't leave me," I whispered.

Batman and I were laying in the sand, he wasn't Batman, of course, he was Bruce Wayne. He actually had a Batcave in Blüdhaven and he had brought me there so he could be himself around me. He wanted for use to be real with one another. He wanted something much more than just a relationship with anyone. He wanted someone close, personal, a best friend. But he was also scared about someone being too close to him and not get hurt. So, with me having powers, it actually helped. I think we were a match made in Heaven, something God had put together.

"I can't leave you," He said bringing me close to him. His arms were wrapped around me, with my head up against his chest and his leg over mine. He was really warm and I was snuggled into him. With the ocean crashing in front of us, I couldn't think of anything more peaceful and romantic than a moment like this, "I've missed you too much," He smiled at me. I smiled back at him. This was the first time in a long time that I had ever smiled at anyone. But, the one thing that I wasn't going to do was show him my true self. I left on my hood and covered my hands with thin black gloves so that he didn't have to see me like this anymore. I was scared I was going to strike fear into him or that when we looked at one another, I would get his soul. Even though that had never happened before, I never did want that to happen.

"What's going to happen?" I asked Bruce.

"What do you mean?" He questioned. I pulled away and looked at him, those blue eyes were bright and beautiful to me. They were easy to get lost in but I wasn't going to let him star at me, not like this. I looked away and sat up. I wasn't ready for whatever this was between us. Sure I loved him but I was still dark inside. I was a horrible person that needed to get away from him so that I wouldn't hurt him. I put my head in my hands and he came and put his hand on my shoulder.

"What do you fear the most, Jasper?"

"My father and feeling like God aren't there anymore," I whispered.

"I have something far worse than that," He smirked. I chuckled and he came and whispered to me, "Bats,"

"Your right," I rolled my eyes, "That's totally worse."

"But," He pulled me close to him, it was hard to resist a well fit man that smelled like burnt rubber and sweat. Weird combo but I have to admit, I kind of like it, "I learned to take those fears and use it for good. I am a bat because I want to strike fear into those who need it. Criminals, there not scared. I wanted to use that fear to bring them to justice."

He was whispering all of this to me so that no one else could hear our conversation.

"I want to do that,"

"Then do it, honey," He kissed my temple, "You have powers that would work great. You can't get hurt, you can hear better than Superman, and I love you,"

Him whispering that in my ear made me shiver but it was a good kind of shiver, "Break hold of this bond with the darkness, let God shine," He said to me. I nod, my heart beating inside of me. There was a little bit of light breaking through this darkness that I see inside of me. Bruce and I just sat there and we prayed a lot. Of course, my father didn't like it but when we had said Jesus' name, he would scream and run away, they would cower when I said His name. It made me feel powerful, actually.

"Aw," I froze, I knew that weird voice, it was none other then Nightwing, "You two are adorable."

"What are you doing here?" Bruce turned around seeing his friend by the cave.

"Nothing much," Nightwing shrugged, "Just got back from saving Abigail," He came and sat down beside us. He was still in his suite and he was looking at Bruce and me with a risen eyebrow.

"She already knows who you are, Dick," He said. Nightwing sighed and took off his mask.

"She's good," Dick smiled at me, "You might be better then Detective here," He said nudging Bruce. I sat there, feeling numb inside. My father appeared in front of me and shoved me down to the ground. Of course, Dick and Bruce couldn't see it but I saw everything. I saw Superman, Green Lantern, their friends...hanging on nooses.

"You see them?!" My father hollered, "They couldn't take it! They couldn't take the darkness that was around this place! You did this, Jasper! I am through with you and your little toy here. I know who he is, I know who his friend is! I will come there and I will kill you!"

Like a ghost, he entered my body and he started to bring these dark images from my past and I felt this pain. I heard Bruce whispering to me, telling me that I need to bring this darkness down. I squeezed my eyes shut and with tears coming down my face, I whispered Jesus' name again. I saw a light. A very powerful light. I saw a man, standing behind my father with a sword behind his head.

"Leave My daughter," He growled, "and never come back,"

That's when all the darkness left. There was a light that came pouring inside of me leaving me screaming on the beach. I heard screams, such terrible screams, but they had left me. I laid there with my eyes wide and my body feeling weak. Jesus had come to save me, just like Batman did many times before that. I couldn't be happier but, this, of course, was only just the beginning.
