YOUR POV:
I looked at the phone screen and kept debating on whether or not I should answer. I finally had the courage to answer the call. "Yes?" "What are you doing?" My father asked. "Just washing a few dishes." I replied with a quick lie. Chris looked at me confused. "How can you be washing dishes if you're-" I quickly covered his mouth before he can say anything else. "What was that?....You're not hanging out with the guys, are you?" " Dad, calm down. It was..the Tv. I was just turning it off since no one was watching it." I knew I was screwed since Chris mentioned about me doing the dishes, but oddly enough he bought it. "These interviews are longer than I thought, I may not make it on time for dinner." As I heard him chuckled, I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, call me when you're on your way." "Will do.....before I go..I just wanted to say that I'm-" I already knew what he was going to talk about so I just hung up on him. Looking up I saw both Chris and Ted looking at me confused. "Woah, (y/n). I know your dad is harsh, but wasn't that rude of you to do that?" Chris asked. I didn't want to talk about what was going on between the broken relationship I have with my father, especially with two teens I just met. "Don't worry about a situation that has nothing to do with you" I snapped. Both of the teenage boys looked at me worried, and I don't blame them. How can I be happy for one second and turn so cold and harsh after that? I didn't want to say anything after that, so I quickly got up and left the park to my house.
TED'S POV:
Watching (y/n) leave made me worried even more. I knew something was wrong when me and Chris went to her house. I grabbed Chris's wrist and tried to catch up to her. "T-Ted where are you taking me?" "Somethings wrong, and I have to help her out." Chris pulled his arm where I lost my grip, I turned towards him trying to be calm at this type of situation. "What are you doing? We need to-" " No we don't. I'm worried too, but if she doesn't want to talk about it why force her?" He's right...for once. I looked down at the ground with a frown only to have my attention caught by Chris's fingers on both sides of my lips forming a smile. "She'll tell us sooner, we just need to build that trust." He smiled. We both walked to our houses since it was getting late. Before I walked to my house, I looked over at (y/n)'s. Maybe a little visit shouldn't hurt, right?
YOUR POV:
I heard a knock on the door as I was finishing cleaning the dishes. "Must be dad." My heart dropped when I saw Ted standing there."Hey, (y/n)." I knew by the sound of his voice he was worried, even if he tries to hide it with a fake happy tone."Oh hey.Sorry I can't talk right now i'm...busy." "Busy? With what?" "With...something..." He gave me a confused look for a few seconds then crossed his arms while giving me a serious face. I knew he wasn't going to turn away without hearing the truth. As odd as it seems, he acts like he knows me for a while to tell when i'm lying or telling the truth. "You've been acting strange, (y/n). Are you okay?" "Why do you care, huh? Like I said before, Don't worry about a situation that you're not involved in." Already I can feel tears forming as I turn away from seeing him. It has been a while since someone came over to see if I was okay. Before I walked away back inside, Ted quickly grabbed my cheeks and gently turned my face where he can see me and my unnecessary tears. He gave me a weak smile as he wipes away the tears. "You know you can always ask me for something...anything." I looked down to see both of our hands intertwine. While slowly backing away, Ted's smile faded away. "I-It's nice of you to...give up your time that could of been used for something useful to help me...but I can handle it..."
TED'S POV:
I wasn't going to give up. I knew deep down she really wants someone to talk to about what ever the problem might be. No matter how many times I grab her hand and try, she steps back. "Please, (y/n). I just wanted to-" "I DON'T NEED YOUR F*CKING HELP!" Hearing her yell at me made me feel like I'm the bad guy...but I'm still not leaving her with this sadness. "Yell all you want, I'm still going to help you." "WHY?! WHY ARE YOU TRYING SO HARD-" "BECAUSE IT HURTS ME SEEING YOU LIKE THIS!" I yelled back while grabbing her arms tight. The fear in her eyes made me realize that I am the bad guy here. I slowly loosen my grip and looked at the ground with disappointment of myself. "I-I'm sorry....I souldn't have yell at you like that...I understand if you want me to leave and never talk to you.." I turned around to walk to my house when I felt a tight grip on my wrist. "Wait....I...do need some help getting things off my chest...c-can you help me?" I turned my whole body back facing her and nodded with a smile. (Y/n) grabbed my hand and took me to her room. I sat on her papasan chair while she sat on her bed. "It all started when I was a Kid..."
