Warning: there is a lot of blood in this chapter, you can skip it if you are sensitive to that kind of stuff. Plus, this is just a flashback chapter, so it's not like you need this chapter to understand any part of the book. I kinda just made it to you could know about what Charles did to John's best friend.
John screamed, reaching for Hercules but Charles kicked him back. John spluttered at the impact and rolled through the grass, a line of blood trailing out of his mouth. He could hear Hercules's gasps as Charles beat him up.
"Hercules!' John managed to yell. Hercules looked over at him, his eyes wide and blood smeared on his face. Charles stepped in front of him, blocking John's view of him.
"I don't think so," Charles said with an evil smirk plastered on his face. He bashed John right on the back of his head, and John groaned, clutching the spot where Charles had hit it. Charles beat Hercules a few times more before leaving them both to bleed out in the grass. John crawled over to Hercules, looking at his face. It was bruised and his right eye was swollen. John felt the tears stream down his face.
"I'm so sorry," John said, caressing Hercules's face.
"It's ok," Hercules responded, slumped against the tree.
"I won't let that happen to you ever again," John said, his voice no longer shaky but firm and confident. "I'll kill him. I'll give him a taste of his own medicine."
"John..." Hercules said, almost as if in protest.
"No, Herc. We didn't deserve this. I don't care what you say. I'm going to get him back one day, I'll make sure of it."
Yeah this was short, and sad. I'm sorry. The next chapter will be better, don't worry.

FanfictionSo pretty much this is just a lame lams fanfiction. I know I start too many stories and don't finish them but I PROMISE that I'll finish this one. I ship lams a lot and I'm confident that I will.
