A little shorter than the last, but I kinda like the outcome of this one. It has a weird dynamic and it changes a lot but it's quite fluffy, let me know what you think. Thanks x again, apologies for errors
WARNINGS: Just little swearing and VERY light intimacy.
(Nothing too triggering for any of you hopefully).

#2 - ‘You’re being forced to date each other by her record label but you fall in love.’ AU
You don’t even know why you agreed to it in the first place, you knew it would be a complete invasion of your privacy. You became close with her though. She seemed comfortable with you, and it was clear she trusted you.
Ten months ago, the agency you worked for had given you the task of pretending to date Halsey, who’d just just released a second album. The label she was signed to always came across as dodgy to you. They’d told her that she had to date a girl since people would start thinking her bisexuality was a publicity stunt. You both hated the idea. You were both much more open-minded about things than the label, but eventually you were both forced into it.
It wasn’t that bad. You just had to be seen in public with her occasionally. You did little, typical couple stuff. You’d hold her hand, she’d kiss your cheek, she’d mention you in interviews occasionally, sometimes she’d even post something about the two of you on social media. It looked real.
Outside the public eye, the relationship was comfortable. You were friends. You were both happy, you never fought. It was strange to feel comfortable in something you had originally opposed, but you both acted normally as of now.
You made a mistake, around five months in. When you’d realised what had happened, you were close to breaking off the fake relationship with her. You could tell the label it was just another publicity stunt. They’d fall for it. You didn’t though. You put up with it.
You’d fallen in love with her.
Hard, deep, diving.
It was difficult to keep the act up, especially when in public, particularly at meet & greets, she’d be very touchy with you whenever she got the chance.
She’d kissed you in front of her fans once. Really kissed you. You remember it vividly, not just the moment but the screaming of her fans and the taste of her lips. You’d kissed her before, sure. Being in the public often resulted in this. But that kiss. It felt...different. It felt almost real.
Almost.
You’d gone to her apartment one afternoon to hang out with her. You were friends and did this often, is was nothing out of the ordinary. You walk straight through the apartment door, already having a key and see her in the living room writing.
“Hey, Ash.” You call.
“Oh hey, fake girlfriend,” she laughs. “Can you come help me with this?”
“Sure.” You walk over and sit down next to her.
You try not to tell yourself that her ‘fake girlfriend’ endearment hurt you.
“I’m writing a song. Well, trying to,” she begins, handing you the piece of paper. It was obviously the first draft- it was full of crossings out as well as a few lines of the actual song.
“Are you going to sing the scribbles, too?” You smirk playfully.
“Fuck you, Y/N,” she playfully elbows you in your hip. You’re unable to resist that adorable giggle that you love.
