Yoongi honestly did not give one shit about the no phones rule. The only thing he really did with his phone involved listening to music, and there were plenty of instruments at his disposal here. So, when they came around to confiscate the phones, he gladly gave his up.

He was known as the "dark" type, the typical Slytherin. Honestly, though, that was just the mask he wore. There was a whole other side to him that no one knew about, and that he didn't like to share. Sharing makes you vulnerable. It makes you weak. He didn't trust many of his housemates, so he just kept to himself most of the time.

Although, for being a "dark" person, he was well-liked by many, even other house members. He would help out a needy student on occasion, make *very few* witty jokes, and would stand up for others. This earned him a place of respect in the mind of others, and also a place of fear. When he stood up for himself or others, he did it fiercely. No student, smart or not, dared to get caught in his path- a position among and above the rest.

And that place, right there, is where he planned to stay.

"Um.. are you okay there?" he heard a soft and honey-sounding voice ask from across the table. He snapped to attention. "I'm fine, but.. whe-where is everyone?" he asked, glancing around the rest of the hall, finally noticing that the hall was totally empty. The student across from him smiled and raised his eyebrows. "Yeah, gone for about 10 minutes now actually. You're sure you're okay?" 10 minutes? Damn I zoned out. He looked up at the other student. He had brown disheveled hair and had a sort of mischevious grin on his face. Cute. "Don't worry about me." Yoongi replied, getting up and walking back to his room. "How could I not?" the student replied back. Yoongi stopped in his tracks, turned back around and walked towards the student. "Were you sitting there in front of me the entire time?" he asked. "Uh, yeah, sorry about that.." the student replied sheepishly, with his cheeks turning the slightest shade of pink. Yoongi smiled. "Again, don't worry about it. By the way, the name's Min Yoongi." he held out his hand for a handshake.

"Park Jimin."

Yoongi then turned around and left, leaving Jimin in the Great Hall.

Unknown to both, they each had smiles plastered upon their faces.

A couple of hours later, Yoongi ended up back in his room. He threw on a pair of earbuds, and reached for his phone. "Ughh.." he muttered as he remembered his phone was gone. "Dude, me too. I did the same thing 20 minutes ago." his roommate replied in response to Yoongi's groan. He then came over and sat on the edge of his bed. "Okay look, I know we're supposed to be in bed, but there's a friend I have- Kim Namjoon- that found like a little music room of sorts. It's warded off, so no one can sense your presence or hear instruments." Yoongi was shocked. "Seriously? How did that get there?" he asked. His roommate shrugged his shoulders. "Absolutely no clue." His roommate went back to his bed and picked up a book. "I'll check it out sometime then, thanks." Yoongi replied, nodding.

Maybe tonight? Ahh too soon. Well, I have been sneaking around this castle for years with no one finding me, what's a little risk of going tonight?

At about midnight, he got up out of bed, threw on a sweatshirt and jeans, and tiptoed across the room and towards the common room. He glanced around, making sure no one was there. Alright, coast is clear. He made his way to the door and out to the hall.

He walked down the hallways, being super careful not to run into any professors. He glanced at a painting on the wall, illuminated by the moonlight. It was a portrait of a famous musician, holding a clarinet. He looked around the edges of the painting, and noticed a frame through the wall. Aha! Door frame! He felt around a little, and nudged open the door. There was a dark hallway, and light coming from a door near the end. Yoongi stepped in, closing the wall-door behind him.

As he approached the door, he heard faint voices and a guitar strumming. He leaned his head up towards the door, and accidentally opened the door, stumbling in. "Oh- um I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" Yoongi started, but the other one waved his hand. "It's fine. I'm assuming my Slytherin friend told you about this place?" he asked. Yoongi nodded. "Uh, yeah actually, he's my roommate." The other got up and held out his hand. "Cool! I'm Kim Namjoon, I'm a fifth year." Yoongi nodded. "I'm Min Yoongi, a sixth year." Namjoon nodded over toward the stack of instruments around the room. "So, do you play?" Yoongi smiled.

"Yeah, actually. Have a piano?"

**
It had been two hours since Yoongi walked into the room, yet he never got tired of a piano. Namjoon had stopped playing about an hour before, and just sat on a couch and listened to Yoongi, watching him play numerous songs, most of which were unfamiliar to Namjoon.

Then, Yoongi began a beautiful piece, with gentle high notes and melodies. "Woah, what is that?" Namjoon asked, sitting next to Yoongi. "It's a series I came up with, I like songwriting and coming up with melodies. This is one of them." Yoongi smiled and kept playing. "Wow, that sounds amazing. Any lyrics yet?" he asked. "A few phrases, nothing put together yet." Yoongi sighed and stopped his playing. "I'll get there though." Namjoon nodded. "Well, let me know when you do, I want to hear it." he said as he smiled and got up. "I'm going to go sleep now, I'm tired." Yoongi got up too. "Go ahead, I'll only be here for a couple minutes. Don't want to risk us both getting caught, so going one at a time is probably better." Namjoon nodded again. "Bye Yoongi, it was great to meet you." Yoongi smiled and said goodbye. As the younger left the room, Yoongi just stood in silence, thinking about that song. Ten minutes later, he walked out and left, going back to the dorm.

He crawled back into bed, having only a little bit of trouble with the password. He sighed and pulled up the covers.

He was glad he finally had someone to share his love of music with.
