'Heya. My name is Sage O'Conner. I'm a 16 year old that goes to Hickory Lake High School. I have a twin sister, Sarah, which I'm older than her, so hah, suck it! She can get really annoying, though. But one of her friends is really hot, so I'm cool with it.
I always see a lot of girls staring at me and drooling at me as if I was a prize. It's kinda weird, but, I like to take advantage of that and mess around with them a little. Y'know, just to play around with them.
My best bro is Taylor Smith, and he has a knack for being smooth with the ladies, too. But he has a girlfriend, and her name is Stephanie Moore. She's really pretty, if I do say so myself.
Enough about me, let me tell you a little bit about our world.
So, one day these dudes came into our world, saying that they were "sent from god" or some weird stuff, and think that they own the world now. It's super crazy. But everyone's scared of them, and they threaten to punish anyone that gets in their way. It just freaks me out. I'm not scared of them, even though my teachers say I should be.
It's really odd, to be honest with you. I wonder why no never stands up and rebels against them. The population of our entire world could take them all down, no problem. I talked to my teacher about this, and the look of fear shot right through her eyes and she had a long talk with me about never saying things like that again.
I hate it, it's so stupid how our world just let these sickos take control of us without a second thought. I often wonder why they just let them.
Now our schools have to reserve one period of every day dedicated to worshipping them. You have to meet in the halls, and say some stupid prayer. And it's for an hour long too! And if you say one bad thing about them and the teachers hear you, hot dang, you're in trouble! A trip to the principal's office, a super long lecture, week of detention and you serve two Saturdays! Ugh.
I'm writing this entry in my notebook at school, because I have nothing else to do and the teachers just gave up on giving us work. It's the end of the year, and I'm done with finals, so I have nothing to worry about. She just told us to write whatever we wanted and stay quiet. I can't let her see this, though.'
I heard a muffled bell ring as I scrambled to get my stuff and rush out the door. Almost freedom. All I have to do is make it through my next class and I'll be done for today!
As I was running super fast down the halls to get to my next class, which was Honor's Math, I accidentally ran into someone.
"What the heck...?" My voice trailed off as I looked into the most beautiful amethyst eyes I have ever seen. They were striking, fascinating, and unnatural at the exact same time. But they were beautiful nonetheless.
Then I looked at her. Oh my god, she was amazingly pretty. Her short purple hair was straight, but not too straight. She was tall, lean and thin, and she had amazing curves to her body. She was breathtaking. Our school uniform fit her perfectly.
"O-oh" She stuttered as she tried to pick up her books. Her voice. It was like the voice of an angel. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to run into you. What's your name?"
I could tell she was new here. She didn't know my name.
"My name's Sage. Sage O'Conner. What about you? What's your name?"
"Ashley, but you can call me Ash." She spoke softly.
"Nice to meet you, Ash!" I smiled widely, then winked at her.
"I'm new here." She said. "And I'm looking for Mr. Clark. Do you know where he is?"
"Yeah. I have him next, actually." I smiled. "So you're pretty good at math then?"
"Yeah, I guess so." She said.
I helped her pick up her books, and I led her to Mr. Clarks room.
"Mr. O'Conner?" He raised his brow. "You're late."
"U-um, Mr. Clark?" Ashley asked.
"You must be our new exchange student. Ms..." His voice trailed off as he looked at his attendance list. "Ms. White?"
"Yes sir." She bowed her head.
He smiled at her. "You may take a seat right next to Mr. O'Conner. I trust you have a good reason for being late."
"Yes, he does." Ashley spoke once again. "I was lost and I couldn't find my way through the halls, but then Sage came and helped me."
"Nice of you, Mr. O'Conner. Now you may take your seats." He made a hand gesture and continued writing something on the white board.
As we went to go sit down, my sister passed a note right onto my desk. I flipped it over and looked at it.
"That's so cliche. Helping her find her way? C'mon bro."
I smiled a cheeky grin at her. I wrote something back on the note and passed it onto her desk.
"Yeah, so? I think I might play around with her a bit."
She rolled her eyes and turned back to her desk, shaking her head. She focused on the whiteboard, which gave me a chance to stare at Ashley.
She was writing down the problems on the board, her brows furrowed while her eyes had a look of concentration.
There was something different about her. But I didn't know what. Maybe she lives in the Zodiac House with us. She looks familiar.
Now it's time to go home and see what stuff Lucy drags us into. A prank war, maybe?
