Wow, Sarah didn't know being dead was so boring. The endless gray was so gray and endless. What am I saying? I guess being dead has lowered my IQ level to that of a five year old. Or Sage's IQ level.
She knows that if she stays away from her body for too long, she'll truly be gone, thanks to a lifetime of reading. But the harder she tries to get to it, the farther away it becomes.
Sage! Maybe he can help me! She's read about inhabiting somebody to save yourself. Because of the Gemini link, it should be fairly easy to possess him. She'll just sit in the back of his mind. And maybe actually help his decisions a little.
She has got to stop trying to find her body and look for Sage's. She can feel herself dissipating by the minute. Stop picturing yourself and think of Sage! She sees his face light up the blankness. His smile is what catches her eye. The smile she could never bring herself to bear.
She can feel herself being pushed forward by some unexplainable force. She knocks into something. It feels like a human. It shudders under her touch. She closes her eyes.

I could feel myself being pulled into the person's body and cramming in with their soul. When I opened my eyes, I saw what the person was seeing. Me. I would've jumped for joy if I could. Then I saw the explosions again and took over Sage.
"Get out of here!" I yelled. Everyone looked at me funny. I remembered that I was supposed to be Sage. "Somebody preserve her body and let's go!"
I forget who stepped forward, it was probably the sudden switch. But somebody did and the moment they stepped back, I grabbed my old body and put it in the freezer. Then I ran. I don't know why, but I grabbed Ashley's hand.
Sage, stop it!
I pulled away and Sage took control again. He wouldn't know what happened, he probably thought that he had blacked out for a minute. I didn't want him to know. If he saw, or felt, what I had been reduced to, he'd hate me. And if he somehow managed to push me out, I wouldn't be able to go anywhere. I'd be gone. Forever this time.
