INTERMISSION

There was a light knock on my door and Naeun stepped in. I pulled the blanket up to my face as she came closer. "Have you been crying?" Naeun gripped the end of my blanket and lowered it. "No.", I mumbled, grabbing the blanket to put it back over myself. Naeun clicked her tongue and sat at the edge of my bed.
"What happened?"
"I said it was nothing."
"Really? Then explain the puffy eyes."
"..."
"Something happened. Now tell me."
"...Boy troubles..."
"Oh? With who?"
"I'd rather not say his name..."
"Does it start with a J?"

My eyes welled and and I hesitantly nodded. My sister sighed and pulled me into a tight hug. "You said you weren't gonna get involved with him." Yet here we are, I thought.
"...I know..."
"So what happened?"
"...I fell for someone I knew would hurt me. Ditching me for an ex who hates my guts..."

Naeun patted my back. "I know my choice of men hasn't been the best in the past but even I can tell Jungkook is a genuine person. I'm sure there's some sort of reason for all of this." I scoffed as I wiped my tears. "I doubt it."
"Just relax and keep your distance for now. When your feelings are settled then talk to him again okay?"
"I don't think that's necessary."
"Being cooped up in you're room isn't going to help. You two should settle this."

The door to my room suddenly opened and my mom came in with an unhappy expression. "Someone is looking for you Somin."
