"Saaaaaans!"
You grumble, stopping once again. The street, lined with shops, leads all the way to the forest. You wait, bouncing on your heels outside a random shop.
"Hurry up you lazy bones!"
You look back at Sans, a good several yards behind. He gives you one of his signature grins. The bright ones, not the fake ones. The latter are rare nowadays.
"But Waterlilly! I'm just bone tired."
You don't really laugh at this one.
"That is so overused!"
Sans runs up to you, glancing at the martial arts place you pass.
"Relax, I was only Kung Fu-cking with you!"
At this, you laugh hysterically. That one you hadn't heard before. Good thing Frisk was preoccupied.
"Sans! *laugh* what did I say *laugh* about cussing in front of *laugh* Frisk?!?!"
You are Litterally on the floor laughing, and Sans stands over you, smiling. He extends a hand, helping you up off the ground. The two of you keep walking, towards the trail into your practice field.
As you walk, you spot a crowd of people in the park.
"Check it out?"
"Eh. Sure, why not."
You and Sans shift direction, going to see what the crowd is all about. You make your way over, hand in hand.
Now you can read the signs they carry...

DEATH TO MONSTERS!

BACK UNDERGROUND!

THEY DON'T KNOW LOVE!

KILL THEM ALL!

THEY ARE STARTING A WAR!

You stop reading after that. Sans grabs your hand, slowly pulling you away from the mob.
5 YEARS! It's been 5 years with very few incidents caused by monsters. If there was violence, usually it was instagated by a human.
Lately there had been much debate, and the scale has been tipping ever-so-slowly towards war.
A man, with a red shirt and long black beard, turns towards you. When he sees you and Sans, hand in hand, all hell breaks loose.
"MONSTER! THERE IS A MONSTER!"
As soon as the man shouts, the crowd is silent. Everyone turns to face you and Sans, frozen in fear. Sans slowly starts to back away, and all of the closest humans lurch towards you. Strings of insults, profanities, threats, and blows rain down around you. Some connect, and some don't. One particularly nasty hit gets you in the leg. You think you hear something break.
"WATERLILLY!"
A famiar voice screams. You yell in pain, Sans lets out a strangled cry. You clutch tightly to his hand, not daring to let go. The blows keep coming.
"(Y/N)!"
"Hey, are you alright?"
"You can do this!"
"Just... Uh... Try magic!"
"Kick their sorry butts!"
"(Y/N)! You have to stay determined!!!"
Each of the souls yells in your head, trying to help you stay conscious.
Sirens sound in the distance, just as a loud bang erupts in your mind. A white hot, searing pain slams into the back of your head, right as you were trying, once again, to summon magic. You look at Sans' battered form, holding him close as you lose consciousness.

He holds you in his lap, bouncing your little form.
"Happy birthday my little seahorse!"
He says, smiling down on you.
"But papa! I'm not little anymore! I'm already 7!"
You say defiantly. Your grandfather laughs.
"If only she could see you now..."
He mumbles. You look at him curiously. He notes your questioning look.
"Your grandmother was really excited to see you... She... Wanted to know... What you could do..."
This left you very confused. You never new your grandmother, because she died, supposedly doing something for some war. They say she exhausted herself, acting as a replacement for someone stronger than her. She was always a kind lady, they say.
The thought, however, is pushed from your little mind when a nice smell drifts from the kitchen. Papa sets you down, mumblimg something about "parents... So proud... If only..."
You don't really remeber your parents. The died when you were young.
You pick up a peice of cake, papa grabbing you a fork.

"Is she alright!?! Oh my child..."

"She's stable! Now we are going to need you to leave."

"Why is the human leeking red?"

"Come on, Punk! Don't die!"

"Y-you can do it!"

"Stay alive darling..."

"Ngggghhhhh..."
Your head hurts, A lot. You groan some more, hearing the distant beep of some machine. What happened?
Riots. Pain. Sans. Sans. SANS!
You bolt up straight, immediately regretting it.
"AAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHH!"
You scream, pain searing the flesh in your body. Your chest aches, and it feels as of you crack a rib every time you breath. You have a splitting headache, and your leg feels as if it is on fire. Your hand, however, actually is on fire. Rainbow flames encase it, your worry and confusion making the flames dance ever higher.
You look around. White walls..
White sheets... Beeping machines... This is a hospital, isn't it? You jerk a bit, trying to get a better look. Something in your back pops.
"aaaAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
You scream again.
You hear several pairs of footsteps in the hall way, and you frantically extinguish your flaming hand. The door opens, all of your friends pouring into the tiny hospital room.

"DARLING! I am so glad you're ok!"

"Oh t-thank A-Asgore!"

"The human is not leeking red anymore! Nyeh he he!"

"My child! Where does it hurt?"

"Hey Punk! Finally decide to wake up I see!"

"Are you ok (Y/N)?"

You blink, then blink again, taking in the faces before you. Your head pounds a little less as they gather around you.
"H-hey... I-I'm fine..."
You say weakly. You lift your fingers to your head, feeling the bandage that wraps around it.
A nurse walks in, and she immediately presses a red button by the door.
"WHAT IS THIS?"
She says loudly. You wonder what that button does.
"Why darling! We are only here to see our friend. Is that a problem?"
The nurse fumes, pressing the button again.
"I have called security! If you all aren't out of here in 5 minutes then we will have to remove you!"
You look at Toriel, very confused. Then you turn to the nurse.
"W-why do they... h-have to
l-leave?"
The nurse looks at you, exhasperated. She hits the button one more time.
"Because, this is a humans only hospital!"
She shouts frantically. You just stare. There are humans only HOSPITALS?!?! Wow. Just wow. But you can't let them leave. You point to each of your friends.

"B-but she's m-my adoptive
m-mother!"

"And s-she is my b-best friend!"

"He i-is my fiance's b-brother!"

"He is the f-freaking TV st-star! My f-friend, the TV star."

"She is m-my best Otaku! W-we are always t-together!"

You ramble on, naming how each person is related to you. In the room is a total of... A lot of monsters. Mettaton, Toriel, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Asgore, Napstablook, Monster Kid, and a few others. Some were silent, with worried expressions, and some had been encouraging you. The nurse looks disgusted.
"Fine! Let me talk to my supervisor!"
She storms out into the hall, waving for the crowd of gaurds to wait.
You breath out a sigh of relief. Looking around, you notice an absence in the room. You become very worried.
"W-wheres S-Sans?!?"
