"Mommy? Daddy?"
Your little 5 year old voice carried down the empty halls. You slowly close the door to your room, pitter pattering towards their bedroom door.
CLANG!
The sound of glass breaking filled the hallway, and you quickly rushed to the door. There was a weird childish laughter. What was happening? You hear muffled shouts from inside their room. Slowly you reach for the doorknob.
"Mommy? Are you there? Daddy?"
You called to them.
B U T N O B O D Y C A M E.
You push open the door, and listen for any sound. There is nothing but the crunch of retreating footsteps through the grass outside. You wonder who left. You walk into the room.
"Mommy? What are you doing?"
Mommy and daddy were both on the floor. The didn't make any noise, and didn't reply.
"Mommy? Daddy? Why won't you talk?"
They simply sat there. You heard loud wailing in the distance, and figured mommy and daddy were just asleep.
You cralled over to them, trying not to step in the wet stuff they were sitting in. Eventually you couldn't avoid it. You layed in between mommy and daddy. Your night gown was soked through with the sticky wet stuff. Oh well. At least you got to sleep with daddy.
The sirens wailed right outside, and you wish you could shut them up. You and your parents were trying to sleep! Suddenly there was a loud crash in the living room.
Men in blue costumes burst into the room, and gasped when they entered. You sat up.
"Shhhhh! Mommy and Daddy are sleeping! Shhhhhh!"
The two men looked at you sadly. Why? One of them reached for you, and you let him pick you up. He carried you out of the room. Maybe he was going to put you to bed, since mommy and daddy were asleep?
As you left, the other man turned on the lights. You peeked over the shoulder of the one carrying you.
"WHAT THE F#**!"
The man shouted. It turns out, the sticky stuff you had to lay in was black goop. It was all over your nightgown! Why did mommy and daddy fall asleep in black goop? EEEEWWW!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

You bolt upright on the couch. Violent sobs run through you. Your devastated. Now you know how your parents died. You scream again, this time out of anger.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRG!"

Sans rushed into the room, egg yolk on his jacket.

"Another one?"

He said, snuggling you up to him.

"Waterlilly? What happened?"

You don't want to have to repeat that...

"I-I.... I dont.... I don't w-wanna talk about I-it!"

You said, in between hiccuping sobs. Sans rubs comfort circles on your back.

"Please (Y/N)?"

You hiccup again. Wasn't talking supposed to like... Make you feel better? Besides... It was Sans.

"O-ok..."

You say reluctantly. You took a deep breath.

"W-well... I was l-like, 5? A-and I w-walked into m-my parents room... And t-they were on the floor! I-I layed down n-next to them... Cause I d-didn't know... I DIDN'T KNOW SANS!"

You had tears running down your face. You were sobbing. Sans waited patiently for the hiccups to subside.

"What didn't you know, Waterlilly?"

He asks soothingly. You take a breath.

"I-I didn't know... They w-were... They were d-dead..."
Sans' eye sockets go black.

"O-ok... Continue."

You lay against him.

"The police c-came, and then t-the lights went on. M-MY PARENTS BLED T-THIS BLACK
G-GOOP SANS!"

You burried your face in his jacket, seeking to hide from the horrors of your past. you and Sans both know who did this... That little brat payed for what she did.

"You don't have to worry anymore (Y/N)! You killed Chara, remember? You're alright now."

Sans cooed, his voice calming you down significantly. Now you knew. You knew why Chara came after you, you knew why she killed your parents, and you knew why she turned into the twisted demon that she was.

"Chara w-was abused! H-Her dad b-beat her, and h-he told her s-she wasn't worth anything... That's why Sans!"

Sans looks confused. you opt to clarify it for him.

"Chara t-turned out all e-evil because h-her dad convinced h-her she had n-no friends! I Knew her. I knew Chara. She was c-convinced that w-we weren't really f-friends, so she w-wanted t-to get b-back at me!"

You started to sob violently once again.

"IT WAS MY FAULT! IT WAS MY FAULT SHE SHOWED UP!"

You sobbed and hiccupped into Sans, feeling a little guilty for covering his jacket in tears. He will forgive you. He's just great like that. However, would he forgive you for bringing Chara? She was already with Frisk, but she came back full force when you showed up. Her violence was all your fault.

"Didn't I tell you that she was already here? Not only that, but you also got rid of her Waterlilly. That was all you!"

Sans' words hit you like a rock to the face. He was right, wasn't he? Sure, you may have pushed Chara, but you are not the only one at fault. You untangled yourself from your fiancé, gazing into his comforting eyes. Chara was gone. Sans was not. Focus on that fact.

You take a few deep breaths, before finally rising from the couch.

"So? What did my lazy bones manage to make me today?"

Sans smiled at you, glad that you are now ok. He really doesn't like it when you have nightmares.

"What meal is this? We had breakfast at the hospital, but i didn't miss lunch, did I?"

Sans chuckles at your irrational panic. NO WAY were you missing out on food.

"It's lunch, don't worry! I managed to not burn some eggs, buiscuts, and gravy!"

"Mmmmmmmm! sounds delicious!"

Sans shoves a plate to your end of the table. the food actually didn't look half bad.

"Bone apetite!"

You chuckle. of course Sans had to say a pun. What's a date without puns? It would be a very, un SANSational date, that's what it would be! Smiling, you dig into the delicious brunch with Sans, happy with the day's revelations.

The way I did it before made it really hard for anyone to comment on a specific part. so i will be trying to get into the habit of doing it the new way from now on.
