Taylor's P.O.V.
Sitting back down in the dirver's seat, I rested my head against the steering wheel. My heart was swelling with pain. They really did love each other. He would never love me. I let out a short cry.
Taking my head off the steering wheel, I looked back at Selena's house. I couldn't stay here. All it did was remind of Justin. Right now, all I needed was to get out of here. Quickly, I backed out of the driveway and drove off.
I drove around town not knowing where I was gonna go. Seeing a local coffee shop, I pulled up into it's parking lot. This wasn't the best place to come. Considering the fact that Selena and I came here every once in awhile for coffee. But I was tired of driving around.
Plus maybe a double shot chocolate chip frappuccino would help. Locking my car, I then went into the coffee shop. There were more people in here than I expected. More people than there ever was when Selena and I had stopped by here.
Setting the money down on the counter, I patiently waited for them to call me for my drink. Looking down at the floor, I sighed. It wasn't worth going through all this pain over Justin. I mean my best friend was his girlfriend. Which meant it was time to get over him. But it was hard.
"Double shot chocolate frappuccino for Taylor." the worker called. Going up to the counter I grabbed my drink. Taking the paper off my straw, I then stabbed it into my drink. Walking around, I looked for a table to sit at.
I avoided sitting at and near the table Selena and I normally sat. So I sat at the one across from it. (Okay maybe it was close to our table, but I was lazy, and it happened to be the only one open) Staring at the top of the whip cream of my drink, I hoped this coffee would get my mind off of Justin.
Spinning my straw around in a small circle, I took a quick sip from my drink. Looking around the coffee shop, a cute guy caught my eye. He flashed a quickly smile. I looked back down at my drink. He then walked up to my table.
"Mind if I join you?" he asked with a cheeky smile. Looking up at him, I smiled. He had a British accent! That was hot.
"Go ahead." I said. he sat down and just stared at me.
"I'm Harry." he said sticking his hand out.
"Taylor." I said while taking his hand and shaking it. Letting go of is hand, I thought, 'Maybe this would be the guy who would help me get over Justin.'
"So why would a beautiful girl like you, be all by herself?" he asked. My cheeks became a little hot, which meant I was blushing. I just couldn't get over the fact about how cute his accent was.
"Just have a lot on my mind right now. Just need some time to think. Now what about you?" I asked while blushing.
"Let's not talk about me. Let's talk about you." he said with a smile. I took a quick sip of my coffee.
"Okay then....What do you want to know?" I asked flirtatiously.
30 minutes passed and it had been non-stop flirting between Harry and I. Wow. Maybe it would be easier to get over Justin that I thought it would. Harry and I kept smiling at each other. 'I need to ask him out now.' I thought.
"Hey can I ask you something?" I asked curiously. Harry glanced past me and his smile grew wider. He looked back at me.
"Oh sorry. What did you say?" he asked. I looked down at the table then back at him.
"Can I ask you something?" I repeated in a little annoyed tone. Then a girl walked up to our table. 'Really? I'm just trying to ask this guy a question.' I thought. Harry put his coffee down on the table. He stood up and hugged the girl.
"Sorry I was late babe. I just had something to finish up." she said while they stopped hugging. They shared a quick kiss, then they both looked at me. 'Wait? Babe? And they just kissed. This was his girlfriend! But he was flirting with me.' I thought sadly. I couldn't believe him! How could I fall for this jerk?
"Oh who's this?" his girlfriend as curiously.
"Oh this is-" I cut him off.
"Leaving." I said shortly. Getting up from the table, I angrily grabbed my coffee of it.
"Taylor, wait." Harry begged. Ignoring him, I shook my head. I couldn't believe him. What a jerk. Slamming my coffee into the trashcan, Harry called my name again. But there was no way I was going back there. Especially for a jerk like him.
Leaving out the back exit of the coffee shop, I began crying a little. The door slammed behind me. Leaning up against the wall, I began to cry. A guy walked up to me. He was wearing the uniform of the coffee shop and had a cigarette in his hand.
Looking at him, I had seen him around school. Rumor had it that he had flunked senior year and that's why he's at our school again. He took a drag from his cigarette then blew the smoke away from my face.
"What's wrong sweetheart?" he asked curiously. I looked him up and down. He was African American and had short black hair. Reading his name tag, it read: Ray. I looked back up into his eyes.
"It's Taylor. And you shouldn't do that you know. It's bad for you." I said while pointing at his cigarette. He laughed. He dropped the cigarette then stepped on it. He took his foot of the cigarette. He put his hand against the wall, so it was bear my shoulder. I tensed up a little.
"Now what's wrong?" he asked. I didn't know anything about this guy. So why should I share my problems with him? Oh well, he cared. And that's all that matters.
"Just trying to heal from a broken heart." I admitted. He nodded.
"What happened?" Ray asked curiously.
"Well the first guy-"
"Oh so there's more than one?" he asked jokingly. I rolled my eyes.
"The first guy has a girlfriend. And I don't think they'll ever break up. Then there's the second guy, who played me." I admitted sadly.
"I wouldn't hurt you like that." he said sweetly. I rolled my eyes.
"I know the type of guy are. You're a player." I said. He shook his head.
"No I'm not." he argued. We went at it for awhile. But every second we fought, the more I was falling for him. He was pretty cute. 'Oh I just want to kiss you.' I thought while he argued that he wasn't a player. Using both my hands, I grabbed his shirt and pulled him in close.
"Just kiss me already." I whispered. Letting go of Ray's shirt, he pushed me up against the wall then moved in closer. Our lips connected and he kissed me passionately. 'Yeah. I think I'm just about over you Justin.' I thought.
Ray kept kissing me. He was just amazing. The back door of the coffee shop swung open. Ray and I ignored it and continued to kiss.
"Ray brake time is over!" someone yelled. 'Probably the manager.' I thought. Ray pulled away. I leaned in for more, but Ray didn't want to.
"What's wrong?" I asked while Ray began walking back to the coffee shop. Ray turned back around.
"I have to go back to work." he said. I made a puppy dog face.
"You can't stay?" I asked.
"Sorry Taylor, I gotta go." he said. Angrily, I walked over to him.
"But I thought what we had was special!" I yelled. He rolled his eyes then chuckled.
"I was just trying to make you feel better." he admitted. I glared at him.
"So this was just a hook-up?" I asked angrily.
"Now you get it sweetheart." he laughed with a smile. I wanted to slap that smile off his face, but I was above that,
"Don't call me that Ray! I should've never fell for you!" I yelled.
"Taylor wait!" Ray yelled.
"Don't you have to go to work?" I yelled while turning around. The door slammed. I knew my car was on the other end of the coffee shop, but I was in no condition to drive. Might as well just wonder around downtown for awhile.
