Amanda's pov

I trying to focus, but it is hard. The girls are yelling in the background. And my daughter is crying. Hans wants me died, but why, what did I ever do to him? The yelling stopped but my baby was still crying. A face appeared in front of me. "Amanda I'm going to hold your daughter, okay?" I just stared into his dark blue eyes. I thought he left for good. When I did not respond he picked her up and rocked her to sleep.

"Did you name her?" He sat where my feet were at, putting them on top of his lap.

"Why are you back Benjamin?" Athena growled showing the aphla presence in the room. Benjamin lowered his head out of respect or fear..

"I came back for Amanda, I am sorry if I'm intruding Athena D'Antonio."

"Why? You were supposed to kill her. Now you want to make sure she is okay?" Athena said with each word laced with vemon. Normal Josephine and Harper would have stepped in but when I looked at them they were just as angry.

Everything was in slow motion for me. Their voices now muffled. My focus went to my daughter laying on Benjamin's chest. She is sleeping peacefully through all of this commotion. I spoke softly, "Renee." She opened her eyes and smiled. Benjamin handed her back to me slowly.

"Is that her name Amanda?" Harper finally spoke up.

"Yes." I started to cry holding my laughing daughter. My sisters and Benjamin left the room. "I love you." I kissed her forehead and laid down.

Harper's pov

Athena is eyeballing Benjamin, while he is looking at Amanda. "Oh my." Josephine blurted out. "So you like her?" Benjamin turned around his head was down. "Oh my God you do!"

"So you talk about how 'celestial walkers' are going to roam the Earth again, and you are falling in love with a nightwalker!" Everytime Athena spoke it was like a hundred daggers going through your heart. She is being so vicious right now. But she is the Alpha she must protect her pack. There is a knock at the door. Not a friendly neighbor knock, but a I'm going to hurry open your door knock.

I went to open the door. A man with black hair and bright blue eyes was in the doorway. "May I help you?"

"Hi, I'm Chase. Okay, I'm in a hurry where is Amanda?"

"Why?"

Anger shoot across his face. "Because my father put a kill order out on her." He sniffed the air, "who is here?" His eyes were bright red, so he is the alpha of his family. Next thing I know is that I am over his shoulder, and we walked back to the kitchen. "WHO IS HE?" Chase hissed at Benjamin, setting me down.

Benjamin cowarded as Chase stalked towards him. Athena stepped up. "WHO ARE YOU?" She protected Benjamin even through she wanted to kill him a few seconds ago. The room went silent as both of the alphas stared each other down. But something broke the silence.

Chase's pov

Upon arrival I was questioned by a beta, the stench of an Omega, and challenged by the other Alpha in the family. As I went to speak I heard a baby's cry. My cousins ran into the other room, leaving me with Omega. "Why are you here?" I spoke low enough so the girls would not here me.

"I wa-was hired by...," so this is the mercenary my dad hired. Weak and pathetic, just like him.

I left the kitchen, and headed to the family room. Nothing changed beside the decoration. There is a woman laying on the couch sleeping, she looks old enough to be Amanda. Wow it had been to long since I visited them. To long that I do not recognize them, the only thing I recognize is their scents.

"It's okay Renee," the other beta calmed the child.

"Alpha?" The alpha turned towards me, and walked to me. She is short compared to my 6 foot frame. I bowed to her and glared into her eyes. "I, Chase D'Antonio, pledged my allegiance to you, Athena D'Antonio." She was shocked, the alpha male never bowed down to the alpha female. Even when they are cousins or siblings, it has always the other way around. To keep a male in the power of the families.

"I cannot lead the family."

"Yes you can. I will help guide you through the transition."

"Chase?" Amanda sat up.

"You remembered me?" I smiled.

"Yeah you were the reason I had to sit through a two hour conversation about the supernatural things normal people think are fairytales." She laughed, then looked up passed my shoulder.

I glanced back to the omega standing on the doorway, with his face casted down. "If you hurt her I will kill you. Do you understand?!"

"Yes sir."

I walked towards the front door then stopped. "Athena I will be back in a few days, with my pack. And I'm calling a meeting of all of our family. Take care."

"Okay," her voice soft.

Josephine's pov

Chase left, but If today keeps going how it is, he'll be back in 20 minutes. Amanda sat up, and reach for Renee. I gave her to her mother. While Benjamin still stood in the doorway. I sighed and walked behind him, then pushed him forward. I sat him down and pulled Athena and Harper up stairs. "Ena are you okay?"

Her normal tanned skin started to turn green. "No, I feel sick."

Harper giggled, "your green just like your favorite color." Athena glared at Harper and she immediately stopped giggling.

"Why did he do that?! The family will never accept me as their leader." She clasped on her bed.

"He probably sees something in you Ena. Do not screw it up." Harper and I burst into laughter.

"Ha-ha-ha so funny." Athena tackled Harper and me to the ground. We fought until we fell asleep. What will tomorrow begin?
