Josephine's pov

Athena is freaking out about the family meeting. She's in the bathroom throwing up for the 3rd time today. Chase and his pack shows up at 10:30 am.

"Where is Athena?" Chase is looking everywhere for her.

Harper answered. "Breakfast is coming back up. She'll be down in a few." Chase shook his head, and another man walked up.

"I am Nicholas, this is my wife Karen. The two scary looking men over there are Micheal and Peter. Chase and my brothers." All of them had different hair colors along with eye colors. Chase had black hair with bright blue eyes. Michael the second oldest had brown hair brown eyes. Nicholas was a blonde with green eyes. Lastly Peter had black hair with brown eyes. I have never seen a group of siblings with so many different features. The only thing they shared in common was their height.

"There you are!" Chase rushed over to Athena. Amanda was behind her.

"Yep, here I am." She stumbled into a wall, Amanda caught her. She whispered in her ear. Athena straightened up and walk straight. "Okay let's go!"

The meeting was being held outside. There's a bunch of people in our yard. Of all ages and sizes. Chase called everyone sit down, one by one they did. We sat a long table Athena in the middle, Chase to her left and me to her right.

"I called this family meeting because I handed my position to Athena." The crowd erupted with disapproval. Athena shook her leg and started to bit her nails.

"It is going to be okay Ena." She peeked at me and nodded.

"SILENCE! I DO NOT CARE IF YOU DISAPPROVE IT'S ALREADY DONE! Now you will respect her." The way he went from angry to calm was scary.

"Why should we follow a little girl who looks like she is barely out of diapers?" An older man yelled on the left side of the crowd.

"Finn?!" A woman who looked a little younger than the man who spoke.

"NO BEATRICE! YOUR GRAND KIDS ARE CHANGING THE ALPHAS LINE OF SECESSION IN THIS FAMILY! IF ANYTHING IT SHOULD COME TO MY GRAND KIDS!" He scolded her, and three boys stood up.

"HEY!" Athena finally spoke up. Everyone turned towards her. "You will stop yelling at her right now, or you will deal with me." Even with how intimidating she sound our uncle, Finn, and the three boys laughed. Athena's breathing became irregular.

Harper exclaimed, "Oh no!"

Amanda walked up to Finn and kicked him in the shin. Dropping to his knees she grapped his hair, and yanked his face up. "Disrespect my sister again old man." When Amanda let him go he returned to his seat and was quiet for the rest of the meeting. Amanda turned around with a smile, bowing down to Athena. "My Queen."

The rest of the meeting went smoothly. Ever Alpha in the family pledged their alliance to Athena. The last few families to pledge was Finn and his family. First, it was a young women with a baby on her hip. "I apologize for my father and nephew's behavior, Alpha." She bowed while Athena gave her a shaky smirk. Everyone pledged and headed home.

"Why does Finn not want me to be leader?" We are eating dinner, accompanied by Chase, Michael, Peter, Nicholas and his wife. Athena was the one to finally break the awkward silence.

"Because our great grandfather decided to give Beatrice, Finn's little sister, the position of alpha instead of him." Michael spoke. He sounds as scary as he looks.

"Were is the omega, Amanda?" Chase asked. There is a hint of annoyance in his voice. He most likely still smelled Benjamin even though Amanda scrub the house clean.

"Umm... he... is out." Lies, Amanda and Benjamin have gotten close over the past two weeks.

"Invite him in. His scent is strong so he is not that far." His face void of emotions.

Amanda choked on her water. "He is not that close." Chase glance up at her, and she stood to go get Benjamin. She came back down the stairs with Benjamin and Renee.

The rest of dinner went on uneventful. Besides the boys giving each other evil glares. They are weird. They sit there not talking, then they get up still not talking and go outside. And they start to fight. People are really confusing.

"Josephine what are you thinking about?"

I turn to see Athena eyeballing me, like I can't have my own thoughts. "Nothing!"

"Okay," she said that like a question not a answer. I left the room, no longer having an appetite.

Athena's pov

Josephine is acting weird, but I'm not worried. I went outside to spar with my cousins.

"Woah there alpha!" Chase stopped me. "We have a lot more experience. We wouldn't want you getting hurt."

"Then teach me!" I punched him in the chest. The sound echoed, and he growled. I laughed, sorry I think I will go back inside now, I started to run back to the house.

"When you get inside get your sisters training starts now!"

I ran into the family room. Amanda and Benjamin where sitting on the couch. Harper was sitting on the opposite couch reading the newspaper. Josephine was playing on the floor playing with Renee. "Umm...guys?"

They all answered, "yes."

"I may or may have not maybe Chase mad. And pushed us all into training."

They all groaned and walked outside.

"Alright let's see what you know." Chase was baiting me, knowing I don't step down from a challenge. I may get nerves but I never back down. I charged to him, to only to end up on my butt. First lesson,  don't go up to your opponent without a game plan. He offered me a hand, I took it. When I was up I turned around and dusted myself off holding my tears back. Sorry Alpha.

It's okay. I took a deep breath, "again!"
