"Pay, Payton," I heard Josh's voice. Ugh, time for school already? That means I'll have to tell Joey.

"Ugh. Do I have to go?" I asked.

"Yes. You can't just skip," he had a point. I got up and got in the shower. I took, what I thought, was a quick shower but was almost 45 minutes, oops. I got out and put on an All Time Low shirt with black skinny jeans and my beat up black converse. I quickly just did my eyeliner and mascara then grabbed my plain black hoodie and met Josh in the car.

"Why the hell did a supermodel just walk out of my girlfriend's house?" he joked.

"Ha, I wish," honestly I'm not even that pretty, barely at all. Ugly even.

"Oh stop it, you are beautiful!" he said as he kissed me on the cheek and pulled out of the driveway.

There was a lot of traffic today, thank God! I didn't want to go to school, not at all. I don't want to tell Joey I'm pregnant. I mean, who would? It's really embarrassing! I can't believe I have two people so caring and loving and especially supportive as best friends.

"You okay Pay?" I looked at Josh as believable as possible.

"Yeah, just thinking about how much homework I'll have tonight," that's believable, right?

"Look, don't be so nervous about taking Joey, he'll be as supportive as me and Janet. He'll understand,"

It just kept replaying in my head.

He'll understand.

He'll understand.

He'll understand.

"I know," I replied. I don't know though. I hope he'll understand.

We finally got to school, after Janet surprisingly.

"Hey slow pokes, what took you do long?" she joked.

"Traffic," Josh said annoyed.

"Well, Payton and I have something we need to do. See you at lunch?"

"Okay," he walked over too me and held my hands. "It'll be okay Pay," I half smiled at him.

"I hope so," Janet and I walked to the third floor janitors closet, where Joey usually hangs out every morning. His locker right next to the art room. Soon enough he was standing a few feet away from us.

"Hey Joey! Come here for a minute?" Janet yelled so she could be heard over all the cheerleaders practicing in the halls. He started towards us.

"What do you want Jessica?"

"It's Janet, and Payton needs to talk to you. Don't be a total dick," Janet walked around the corner, but I could tell she could still hear.

"Um, Joey I'm-well you see-I think"

"If you're gonna take all day with this I'm just gonna go," he started to walk away.

"I'm pregnant," I only said loud enough for him to hear. He froze and turned around.

"Well congratulations, who's the father?" he must be kidding.

"You,"

"Oh, well that's cool I guess," he started walking away again.

"That's it? You don't even care?"

"Well that's not my fucking problem, you choose to do what you want and now you're screwed,"

"So you're saying you don't want anything to do with the baby?" tears started to fill my eyes.

"Duh. How many hints do you need? I don't want anything to do with you or 'it',"

I turned the corner and ran to the bathroom. I slammed the door open and looked in the mirror. Tears were now flooding my face, my makeup down to my chin. I learned against the wall next to the sinks and slowly slid down to the floor. My head on my knees crying harder. I felt someone next to me, Janet.

"Pay, it will be okay. We'll get through this together. Me, you and Josh,"  She tried calming me.

"I feel so stupid Janet. He said he wanted nothing to do with the baby. He rejected his own flesh and blood before even meeting them!"

"He is a dick, don't get worked up about it. He would've just caused more problems anyway,"

Well maybe she's right. I mean Janet, Josh and I all have jobs. I can keep my job until my water breaks too since I'm only a cashier at Starbucks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Maybe everything will be alright. Plus i don't miss any school since there's only two months left of school.
