Princess Sofia and her best friend, Prince Hugo, were really excited. Today, they and the girls in their Buttercup troop were going to the big Craft Center in Somerset Village to get their art badges. They were dressed in their green Buttercup uniforms, ready for today's Buttercup trip.
"Buttercups, Buttercups, don't be slow! Buttercups, Buttercups, time to go!" Sofia and Hugo chanted together.
Hugo had joined the Buttercups on an overnight hike to Swamp Rock Hill. Thanks to Ruby and Jade's jealousy, Hugo found himself in a bit of a pickle—from getting poison ivy on his foot to falling down a bog. Ruby's mother, Helen Hanshaw, was the troop leader, and she and the girls invited Hugo to join the Buttercups.
Speaking of Ruby and Jade, they used to be jealous of Sofia's friendship with Hugo, and they feared losing her to him. But when they learned the amazing story behind the royals' friendship, they don't mind sharing Sofia anymore and have accepted Hugo.
Sofia and Hugo met up with Baileywick, who was also a Buttercup troop leader.
"Ah, are we ready?" Baileywick asked.
"Ready," Sofia and Hugo chorused.
The Buttercups had arrived at Enchancia Castle.
"Good morning, royal Buttercups," Helen smiled. "Are we ready to go to the Craft Center?"
"Ready when you are," Sofia smiled.
"As I'll ever be," Hugo chimed in.
The Buttercups climbed into a royal coach, which led them away to the Craft Center. On the way, Sofia and Hugo were talking about their past experiences. Ruby and Jade no longer envied Sofia's friendship with Hugo, yet they wondered how she was able to win his heart.
"They really like each other," Ruby remarked.
"They sure do," Jade agreed. "Someday we'll win Prince James over the same way Sofia won Prince Hugo's heart."
