"Your parents are so amazing Michael" Jeremy sighed dreamily, his eyebrows drawing together as he looked down at a large amount of money in his hands. Michael just laughed, blurting out the first thing he thought of.

"Your in-laws" he quietly replied, also staring at the money in amazement. Jeremy's eyes went wide as he quickly whipped his head around to look at his boyfriend.

"What?" he asked, raising an eyebrow now. Michael looked up at him after processing it, obviously shocked by the words his subconscious had forced out of him. He began to stutter a little, fumbling over explanations.

"I didn't mean it like, you know. I'm obviously not proposing or anything, and we aren't even 18 yet, so th-that was probably really weird of me to say." He stammered out. Jeremy placed a hand over his mouth and giggling at Michael.

"You don't need to apologize, I think it's sweet," he replied, deciding that for the sake of Michael's pride he should probably change the subject. Michael just pouted and crossed his arms over his chest as his cheeks slowly heated up.

"But still, there are 200 dollars here just for a date night," he said, laying the money on the table. He still couldn't believe that Michael's parents would leave that much and tell them they could only spend it going out together. He didn't know if it was sweet or scary how much they cared about this relationship.

Michael kind of scrunched up his nose and shook his head in disapproval. He was also a bit surprised at how much money they had given just for a date. Plus their dates usually didn't cost anything more than 20 bucks on junk food and a rented movie. Those were the kind of dates that Michael liked because it was just them, together, alone half watching a movie and half making out while ignoring a movie. But, despite his fondness of their usual dates, he couldn't deny Jeremy a real date, especially when he look so happy about it.

"Yeah, we can go out to eat somewhere nice for once" Michael said, hugging Jeremy from behind and laying his head against his shoulder. Jeremy tilted his head back slightly, nodding in agreement before planting a small kiss on his cheek. With that the two boys made their way back to their room, trying to dig through their closet and dresser in search for any clothing that could be considered fancy. In the end, Jeremy had dress pants and blue button up shirt, while Michael had nice black skinny jeans and a plain white button up. It was as nice as they could really get for going out.

After escorting Jeremy to the nicest restaurant he could find, Michael led him in. Jeremy was happy, but at the same time, a little bit intimidated by the high-end date. A waiter took them to their seats immediately and the two both followed like lost puppies. Once they were sat down, Jeremy began to gush over how fancy this place was as Michael just stared down at the menu with a confused face. Rich people food was weird and apparently all written in French. As soon as they had sat, a waitress was already there asking about drinks. Both boys looked at each other, silently praying that fancy places served soda. In the end, they both awkwardly ordered a random type of fancy sounding tea as they just wanted the woman to leave. She kind of just smiled at Jeremy before making her way back to the kitchen.

"That was unnerving" Jeremy commented, blushing and laying his head on the table. Michael nodded in agreement, not liking the way that waitress looked at his boyfriend. Jeremy however barely noticed it, only really focusing on not stuttering while ordering tea he had never heard of. After giving up on the menu's they agreed to pick something random when she came back, as it would be fun to see what they get. Jeremy laughed at the idea, but after failing to read it himself he was on board. After a few more minutes of light conversation between the two, Michael leaned across the table, Jeremy taking the hint and doing the same. They were about to kiss when-

"Here are your drinks sirs" the high-pitched voice cut them off as they both sat back in their seats. Jeremy was embarrassed but Michael was kind of just sad. He liked kissing his boyfriend for obvious reasons. The waitress kind of smirked, placing the teas down on the table and winking 'slyly' at Jeremy. Michael scrunched his nose in annoyance. Jeremy awkwardly looked at her and frowned as she laid a hand on his shoulder, rubbing it slightly. Ok, so Michael didn't really get mad easily, he was a normally pretty laid back and easy going. But who the fuck-

"-Do you think you are?! You can obviously see that we are here on a date, which if you were too stupid to know means we are DATING! So if you're that interested in my boyfriend you can watch his hot ass as we leave. Though I would kind of prefer if you didn't because that would be rude of you!" Michael yelled, throwing the money for the overpriced tea at her. Jeremy was kind of just staring at him with a cute dazed expression as Michael grabbed his hand. Jeremy got the hint, standing and beginning to storm out of the fancy restaurant. Michael flipped everyone off over his shoulder, making Jeremy giggle and shake his head at him. After they were out, they stood in front of the building, in the dark and under the street light.

"Hey, I'm sorry for ruining date night. I know how excited you were" Michael mumbled shamefully, looking down at his feet. Much to his surprise, Jeremy didn't scold him, he just began laughing, and loudly too. Michael looked up at his boyfriend, confused as hell.

"Yeah, I was excited. But then we got there, and I just felt out of place. It was uncomfortable and I just wanted to leave." he explained leaning against Michael slightly and looking up at the sky. After a quiet moment between the two, Jeremy looked back at Michael.

"Is that how you felt at the party?" he asked quietly, really dreading the answer. Michael just sighed and nodded, not wanting to talk about it much. Jeremy frowned and wrapped his arms around Michael, squeezing him half to death in a hug and whispering and apology into his shoulder. Michael smiled a little to himself, hugging his boyfriend into his chest gently and rocking him a little.

"Babe, you don't have to apologize again, I already forgave you" Michael whispered, kissing the top of Jeremy's head.

Quick Authors note: So, I've been thinking about doing a Dear Evan Hansen one-shot book for Evan and Connor. Would people want me to do that?
